Combing a sugar magnate's 19th-Century palace with a connected futuristic glass counterpart, the Hospes Palacio de los Patos's two buildings provide easy access into Granada.
Located in the heart of the city’s bustling commercial district, the hotel has 42 rooms and suites. Those in the palace have been thoughtfully restored and offer frescoes, original mosaic floors, or high ceilings. The modern building, by contrast, has brand new, purpose built and light filled rooms. Either way, you'll be in Granada's most stylish quarters.
The in-house Bodyna Spa has a range of tempting treatments, as well as a sauna and Turkish bath. You can sample delicious Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine in the sparkling Los Patos Restaurant that ranks as one of the city's best and is very popular with locals.
Granada's most popular attraction is the Alhambra, which is a 20-minute walk from the hotel and well worth a day of exploration. The old town is typically Andaulcian with winding cobbled streets, while the nearby town of Ronda makes a fantastic day trip with its spectacular trio of bridges set over a deep gorge and artistic sensibilities.
The 42 rooms and suites are exquisitely decorated with glass, alabaster and hardwood or original mosaic flooring. Beautiful garden or city views, exclusive mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed linen add to the luxury of these rooms. Every room has high speed internet, a plasma screen satellite TV and DVD player.
Children are welcome at Hospes Palacio de los Patos. Babysitting services are available on request.
The Los Patos restaurant serves mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine focusing on fresh local produce. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, soothing Bodnya spa, sauna and steam room.

When to go
Andalucia has a Mediterranean climate, making it a year round destination. In general you can usually rely on pleasant or hot temperatures from April to early November. In Andalucia there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter. The best time to visit Granada is in the Spring and Fall when the temperature is just perfect with warm sunny days. During July and August it can be very hot and some days the temperature reaches 40°C. In August the locals head to the coast and much of the city closes.
