Cabin Suites consist of two interconnecting standard cabins. During the day both are set up as lounges with a banquette sofa, footstool, small table and a washbasin cabinet with hot and cold water. At night you can choose between single beds on the lower bunks in each cabin or you can opt to keep one cabin as a lounge, with upper and lower beds in the other. The three Grand Suites are the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express' most luxurious cabins, each inspired by the architecture of either Paris, Venice or Istanbul. Each Grand Suite has a double or twin bedroom, a living area and an en-suite bathroom complete with bespoke bathroom amenities. Guests in these suites benefit from free-flowing champagne during the journey, as well as additional inclusions.

Côte d'Azur has beautifully plush blue seats, with fabulous René Lalique glass engravings adorning the walls. Etoile du Nord is a vision in green, its beautiful wooden panels showcasing the most delicate marquetry. Finally, L'Oriental takes its inspiration from the Far East, with its intricate black lacquer panels. 3674, the bar car, is the perfect place for a coffee, or to enjoy after-dinner drinks around the piano. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express really is the experience of a lifetime. The train is absolutely stunning, with its iconic navy carriages and art deco interiors, it is like stepping back in time. The finer details really make this an ultra luxurious experience, from the Templa Spa toiletries to the crystal glassware and fine boned china used at dinner, it is clear no expense has been spared kitting out this fabulous train. The bar car offers a comfortable area in which to kick back and relax, taking in the stunning scenery while sampling a signature cocktail. The cabins themselves are cosy, but perfect for your night on the train, with a little sink and plenty of luggage racks, as well of course as your sofa, turned bed at night. The food, all included, is incredible, especially considering it is prepared in two tiny on-board kitchens! Head chef Christian cooks up an absolute treat, and you certainly will not be leaving hungry! I loved every minute of my time on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, it really is a magical experience.
