The Borgo in the sky. This place truly blew my mind! No matter where you look, the views are spectacular - I honestly could not put my camera down the whole time I was there. This ancient village has been transformed into a hotel with just 23 rooms and there are so many beautiful gardens, hidden corners, castle remains and wild flowers. The church holds small music concerts, there is an art gallery, a cocktail bar with the most picturesque views and state of the art wine bar. If you come here, all your stresses will float away. You could never get bored of the rich, vibrant, green Tuscan countryside which can goes on for miles and miles. The outside of the buildings are the original stones and bricks, but inside they have renovated the rooms into a modern day haven. Every room is different, some with fireplaces, others with terraces covered in colorful flowers, but each one has the most incredible finish.

Monteverdi is perched in the hilltop town of Castiglioncello del Trinoro, a town of just 10 fulltime residents. This special mountaintop estate has the incredible views of the countryside. Each room is truly special and unique, designer Ilaria Miani worked with a local in the village to blend the modern yet Tuscan styles. I stayed in the Suite del Bosco, the unique feature of this room was the wood-carved sculptures as they represented the structure the village farmers used to dry grains from the region.
