In the south-western corner of Tuscany lies the Maremma region, home to pine forests, natural thermal baths, long sandy beaches and azure waters. An exclusive and laid-back town, Punta Ala is surrounded by natural beauty, with Cala del Porto offering superb views across the ocean to the Tuscan archipelago, including the picturesque isle of Elba, where Napoleon was exiled.
Between the pine forests and the sea you will find Cala del Porto, where you will receive a warm Italian welcome on arrival. A boutique hotel with just 38 rooms and suites, Cala del Porto is a proud member of Relais & Chateaux, and the high levels of service and hospitality ensure the hotel feels like a home away from home. Due to its seafront location, Cala del Porto's two restaurants offer a fabulous selection of grilled fish and freshly caught seafood alongside their Tuscan specialties. Both the refined Belvedere and beachfront La Spiaggia dish up delectable Italian meals such as ravioli, typical of the Maremma area, and gnocchi. Of course both also have a wide selection of local wines, which are also found at the indoor bar or poolside, perfect for cooling off after a day in the Tuscan sun.
For those looking to relax, the private Cala del Porto beach is just 2km away, and easily reached with the hotel's own shuttle service. Here you will find La Vela beach club, complete with fitness suite and wellness area, comprising a solarium, Turkish bath and massage cabins.
