Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Rome enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate. Summers (from June to September) are hot and dry with temperatures often soaring to 37°C. High humidity is also common, particularly in July and August. Winter tends to be moderate, at least by northern European standards, with temperatures averaging around 10°C to 15°C between December and February. Spring (March to June) and early autumn (September and October) are the best times to visit Rome, with lovely blue skies and mild temperatures. November and December are the two wettest months.

Starting in mid-June, the summer rush really picks up, and from July to mid-September the Rome teems with visitors. August is the worst month: Not only does it get uncomfortably hot, muggy, and crowded, but the entire country goes on vacation at least from August 15 to the end of the month (many Italians take off the entire month). Many hotels, restaurants, and shops are closed.

Description

JK Place Roma is an elegant boutique hotel situated in the centre of Rome, close to the Spanish Steps and fashionable Via Condotti. The luxurious rooms, stylish bar and cafe create a peaceful haven to return to after a day exploring the beautiful city.

Opening its doors in the summer of 2013, JK Place Roma has had just as much success as its sister hotels in Florence and Capri. The long awaited arrival of the boutique hotel has certainly been worth it and Michele Bönan, designer of all three JK Places has triumphed with his latest work.

Similar in style to the others, JK Place Roma is contemporary classic; more urban chic than JK Capri and more vibrant than Florence, it's a wonderful juxtaposition to the historical centre and Eternal City in which the hotel is situated. Moments from the achingly fashionable Via dei Condotti and up to the Spanish Steps to its left and the River Tiber to its right, JK Roma could not have a better position and you'll find yourself surrounded by fabulous restaurants, shops and sights.

The hotel has just 26 rooms and 4 suites, all beautifully appointed with wood-panelled walls, luxurious marble bathrooms and canopied rosewood four poster beds and complimentary mini-bars.

The hotel offers food around the clock in the stylish JK Cafe. The chef uses fresh produce to prepare Italian favourites throughout the day. The hotel bar offers snacks throughout the day and bar man whips up cocktails to order, perfect after a day around the shops and sightseeing.

I loved JK Place Roma. The moment you cross the threshold you are greeted with a feeling of warmth and an air of sophistication. The high window ceilings in the main drawing room keep is awash with natural light, making it an excellent place to relax with a coffee. Alternatively, the cosy sitting room has an array of interesting books to flick through.

The rooms are beautifully designed, many with view over the rooftops of Rome.

The JK Cafe is a smart bistro style restaurant with delicious Italian dishes as well as burgers and salads, which can be enjoyed while sitting on comfortable sofas and chairs in a boldly coloured room.
