Belmond Hotel Splendido Mare, sister hotel of Belmond Hotel Splendido, is situated along the Ligurian Coast and takes pride of place overlooking the famous harbor at Portofino. Many of the rooms at the hotel have private terraces facing onto the stunning port and are decorated in a traditional fresh and light northern Italian style.
The hotel features a Spa and Wellness area which offers a range of treatments and massages including facials, reflexology and yoga classes. The sauna and steam room are located in the picturesque surroundings of the hotel's garden, as are the heated saltwater swimming pool and tennis courts.
Belmond Hotel Splendido Mare has a signature restaurant, the Chuflay. It is the perfect place to view the fantastic scenery whilst sampling Mediterranean delights such as lobster, scampi and prawn salad, home-made tagliatelle and freshly caught fish, straight from the Mediterranean sea. For those who fancy something slightly lighter, or an aperitif before supper, the Chuflay Bar is also available until midnight each evening.
During your stay, the hotel provides a free shuttle service that will take you between Belmond Hotel Splendido Mare and Belmond Hotel Splendido so you can experience the best of both worlds.

When to go
Portofino is a year round destination. The major tourist season is during the summer, when a majority of the annual events and festivals in the area are taking place. However, in terms of weather, the months just before and after the busy tourist season may be the best time to head to Portofino.
