Located at the center of the village of Positano, Le Sirenuse is situated beautifully above the sea creating gorgeous vistas. It is an ideal spot for luxury, peace and silence. Le Sirenuse is justifiably known as the place to stay in Positano.
Le Sirenuse has been owned by the Sersale family since it opened in 1951. They still live and entertain in the hotel meaning it retains the original family-run feel that makes Southern Italy so popular.
John Steinbeck wrote of Positano in an article in 1953 "It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone. The houses climb a hill so steep it would be a cliff except that stairs are cut in it...The small curving bay of unbelievably blue and green water laps gently on a beach of small pebbles."
With descriptions such as this it is unsurprising that Hotel Le Sirenuse is considered one of the most romantic and beautiful hotels in the Amalfi Coast. The guest rooms, with their elevated height above the sea, have breathtaking views of the bay of Positano. The candlelight atmosphere of La Sponda Restaurant and the elegance of the champagne and oyster bar provide memorable wining and dining experiences.
A stay at Le Sirenuse is really a very special treat, it is such a unique hotel with outstanding views that will remain with you forever.

I loved the regal Italian style of Le Sirenuse. Not at all stuffy, but brilliantly classic. The food in the terrace restaurant is delicious and the sommeliers excellent too.
