Sani Resort is a family owned 1000 acre private ecological reserve with pine forests, bird sanctuaries, lakes and olive groves, all surrounding the marina and four individual hotels - Sani Beach, Porto Sani, Sani Asterias and Sani Club. Lush, landscaped gardens with Mediterranean scents on this unspoiled peninsular separate the hotels, whilst the Aegean Sea laps gently along the seven mile sandy beach.
Sani Beach is the largest of the four hotels at Sani Resort and enjoys one of the best locations right beside the beach. Close too, are the resort tennis courts, watersports center and the children's club, with the marina being just a short walk away. With recently refurbished One and Two Bedroom Suites and new wing of family suites added in 2015, the hotel is perfect for families. Spacious and comfortable, with floor to ceiling windows and large terraces, they offer guests fabulous views of the Aegean Sea and Sani Bay. A wide choice of child friendly restaurants, a heated infinity pool and life guards on the beach make for the most relaxing family break.
A more boutique and intimate offering is the Sani Asterias, with its exclusive stretch of private beach and heated pool. Each family deluxe suite is spacious and stylish with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate living space and garden area. The Suites have the added luxury of the Water Restaurant with its Michelin-starred executive chefs, exclusive to guests at Sani Asterias, where diners eat overlooking the marina. For larger families there is also the option of three bedroom suites, which have a spacious garden and private pool.
Sani Club enjoys an exceptional position at the far end of the resort overlooking the beautiful bay and Mount Olympus across the Aegean Sea. Accommodation is in charming and elegant bungalows with equally magnificent views, and bathrooms with baths and separate rain showers. For extra space and privacy there is also the option to have a two bedroom suites with a garden, which are located a short walk from the beach. Some of these also feature a private pool and all feature stunning floor-to-ceiling windows or one of the new 7 beachfront suites with their own pool area. Sani Club has its own children's club and crèche, together with a watersports and diving center and an exceptional choice of restaurants and bars. A new fitness and yoga center now features, ensuring this hotel has something for everyone.
With views across the gardens, lagoons and the marina, Porto Sani is an established family friendly option. With the exception of the Junior Suites, most of the suites at Porto Sani have separate bedrooms and living areas set within spacious low rise 'villa style' accommodation. The new Three Bedroom Family Suites are ideal for larger families, and those with older children. Families with younger children can use the dedicated crèche, whilst they take some well-earned rest, either by the heated pool, on the beach or in the tranquil Spa Suite for a treatment. 2015 sees the opening of the exclusive Byblos Caviar Restaurant, where guests can try a selection of this delicacy, along with a choice of fresh and smoked fish.
One of the big attractions of Sani Resort is the amount of activities and facilities the resort, as a whole, offers for all ages and interests. A particular highlight is the bustling marina and shopping plaza with its choice of restaurants, lively bars, boutiques and great leisure and sports facilities.
Families of all ages are a firm feature throughout the resort and catered for in a variety of ways. Most restaurants have dedicated children's menus and are well stocked with highchairs and open at family friendly times, whilst a few are exclusively for guests over 12 years. To make a guest's stay as hassle free and relaxing as possible, Sani can arrange some extra touches in the rooms for children. Guests can use the crèche and children's club, from 4 months to 12 years, that are located at Sani Beach and Sani Club and the new crèche and children's club at Porto Sani (available also for guests at the Sani Asterias). The free Teen Club is open in July and August only.
There is a fantastic choice of accommodation options at the Sani Resort to suit all tastes, budgets and requirements. Sani Beach, with 389 rooms and suites is the largest of the four hotels at Sani Resort, Sani Asterias is an intimate boutique hotel with 48 private suites, Sani Club has 205 rooms and suites whilst Porto Sani features 109 rooms and suites. Each of the four hotels has its own unique style and offers different types of accommodation as well as an extensive choice of bars and restaurants and other facilities. Guests can choose between having their own private garden, separate living space, a peaceful location, private pool, sea views, or central location, and our travel specialists can recommend the best option for you.
The Sani Club is situated at the far end of the resort with its own 1km sandy beach directly in front. Other facilities at the Sani Club include the Melissa Children's Club, Spa, tennis courts and watersports center. There is a good selection of dining options at the Sani Beach Club - the Olympos restaurant (buffet), Ouzerie (Greek Taverna), Pool Snack Bar and the Dunes a la carte restaurant. Other restaurants and bars at the marina and the rest of the resort are a 10-20 minute walk away.
The Sani Club is a low rise bungalow style hotel with views towards Mount Olympus and the Aegean Sea. There is a choice of double rooms, double deluxe rooms, family rooms (2 interconnecting double rooms), beachfront suites or junior suites some of which have a private pool. All room types have been furnished in neutral tones with a nautical theme from the touches of blue in the design. The rooms are quite compact (approx 34-37sqm) but comfortable and all feature a private garden or balcony, bathroom with shower and bath, dvd/cd player, satellite TV with integrated music channels and coffee and tea making facilities.
The Sani Club is a popular choice for families.
Sani Beach is all about location location location. It is a highrise 70s style hotel that has been recently refurbished. It is conveniently located close to a glorious long sandy beach as well as all the other resort services and facilities.
There are two types of Junior Suite both of approximately 35sqm. The internal layout of the open plan bedroom and sitting area is the same in both types, with the seafront Junior Suite has a small private garden and direct access to the beach, whilst the sea view Junior Suite is situated on an upper level and has a balcony with a table and two chairs.
Guests can also chose from the spacious 1 and 2 Bedroom Family Suites Beach Front. With direct access to the Sani Beach, these are designed in a contemporary style with floor to ceiling windows and fabulous views. They come with a private garden and terrace with sun loungers, table and chairs. They can accommodate a family of up to five people. Equally the deluxe 1 or 2 bedroom family suites offer impressive views of the Aegean Sea.
Sani Asterias is the most luxurious of the 4 hotels. It is a small boutique hotel consisting of only 48 private suites, situated next to the Marina and with its own private beach. With the exception of the Junior Suites, all the suites have separate bedrooms and sitting rooms with either beach or marina views. The 3 types of suites which range from 80sqm to 130sqm in size, all have 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, sitting room and balcony/garden. A new luxury range of family suites has been added for 2016, some of which feature their own pools. These are the most spacious rooms types in the resort and are hugely popular especially in peak season. There is a mini spa area near the new family suites and a new indoor lounge area serving an exclusive breakfast for over 14 year olds.
Porto Sani is located behind the marina approximately 400m from the beach. The majority of the accommodation is set around the lagoon style pools (includes a children's pool and separate adults only pool). Like the other hotels, Porto Sani has its own bars, restaurants and Spa, plus the outdoor pool is now heated to 27 degrees, making it ideal for late Spring. Additional restaurants at the Marina and the other hotels are a short walk away.
All Suites - junior, standard, family and deluxe are tastefully furnished in an elegant, minimal style in neutral colors and feature a balcony or terrace, tea/coffee making facilities, expresso machine, satellite TV with integrated music channels, CD/DVD (playstation available on request - limited availaibility) and complimentary WiFi. With the exception of the Junior Suite, most of the suites have one or two bedrooms and a separate sitting room making them a popular choice for families. For larger families the three bedroom family suites offer fantastic space for everyone. The Marina Junior Suites are located at Sani Marina.
There is a good selection of children's clubs at Sani Resort. Based near Sani Beach is the Melissa Crèche from 4 months to 3 years inclusive and the Melissa Mini Club from 4 - 11 years inclusive. There is also a separate Teenagers Club (12-17 years) that runs for high season only (mid June, July & August). Sani Club and Porto Sani have their own children's club and crèche (the latter is available for guests at the Asterias).The clubs are complimentary, however there is a charge for the crèche (€35 for a half day and €50 for full day and lunch is €25). All the clubs are run by trained, multilingual staff, seven days per week. In the evenings there is an evening entertainment program including stage shows for the whole family.
There are a number of children's facilities that can be organized for guests during their stay at Sani Beach. These need to be arranged at the time of booking and are subject to availability:

Most baby supplies can be purchased locally in the hotel's mini-market or the marina's supermarket, however if you require a particular brand it is advisable to bring your own.
Babysitting can be arranged after 6pm at a cost of €10 per hour for a maximum of 3 children in the same hotel room/suite, plus an additional €15 after 10.50pm)
Baby sitting can be arranged with a minimum of 24 hours notice. This service is at an additional charge which is payable locally. Prices this summer are 10 euros/hour. Maximum 3 children.

The Melissa Crèche for children aged 4 months - 3 years inclusive is open from 10.00 - 18.00hrs daily with a lunch session between 13.00 and 15.00. The childcare staff work to the following ratios - 1:3 for children 6-23 months and 1:4 for children 2-4 years. The crèche is well equipped with toys for indoor and outdoor activities. The activities are specifically designed for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Pre-booking is essential.
|Melissa Mini Club||
The Melissa Mini Club arranges indoor and outdoor activity programs full of fun for children 4 - 11 years inclusive at no extra charge. Indoor activities include arts and crafts, group games and shows and outdoor activities include pool games, volleyball, gymnastics and treasure hunts (some of the activities are arranged by the entertainment team). The club is open 10.00-18.00 daily, with a lunch session between 13.00 and 15.00.
The Teenagers Club operates in high season only (mid June, July and August) and is open daily from 10.00-18.00 with a lunch session between 13.00 and 15.00. The Sani Teen Club operates from 1 July to 31 August.
The Football Academy is a fun and healthy activity for children aged between 5-14 years old.
With children split up by age groups, the two hour football camp is held six days a week
The camp will be available to all budding footballers between the 25th May and 1st September.
Each two hour session at the Football Academy cost 35€. Children who attend five sessions
will enjoy their sixth session complimentary.
There is a fantastic range of dining options at the Sani Resort. There are 10 restaurants at the four hotels and a further eight at the Marina (with 18 in total in the dine around program). Choices include the Water Restaurant at the Marina, with a menu created by 2 times Michelin Star Chef, Jacked Chibois, Vosporos, the Greek Grill, a taste of Japanese cuisine at Katsu or Dim Sum delights at Asian. The dine around program is highly recommended at Sani, allowing half-board guests to enjoy their meals at many of the restaurants throughout the resort. Guests can either select from a tailored set menu without an additional charge or order a la carte. If ordering a la carte the half board allowance will be deducted from the bill. In both cases drinks are extra. The dine around program also allows guests to choose where they would like to eat breakfast.
NB many restaurants require pre-booking and in some restaurants, gentlemen are kindly requested to wear long trousers for dinner.
Sani has extensive Spa facilities, with each hotel having its own dedicated Spa, except for the Sani Asterias, whose guests can enjoy treatments and therapies at Porto Sani Spa Suite, or alternatively relax with an in-suite treatment.
Porto Sani and Sani Beach have indoor pools which connect to the Spa, both of which are adult only (children can use them between 8.30 – 1.00 during “splash hours”). All the main outdoor pools are heated and have lifeguards.
At Sani Resort there's no end to the list of activities on offer. Many of the sports are free of charge, including table tennis, football, volleyball, aerobics, archery, hiking and basketball. All other sporting activities are at an additional charge and are arranged at the relevant sports centers. There is a separate Football Academy with coaching, Sailing Academy to learn new skills and a Dance Academy, offering a range of styles, from modern to hip-hop or even Latin.
Sani Marina is a hub of activity, with its constant flow of yachts and boats. It's the place to go if you want to explore the secluded coves around Halkidiki, the Aegean Sea and its islands. It has a chic and sophisticated Mediterranean ambience, with a number of international and Greek restaurants and bars, a mall of shops, a cinema and hosts many special events and festivals throughout the year.
Being situated in a protected area, the surroundings are perfect for bird watching, hiking, jogging and cycling with clearly signposted paths through the woods (you can hire adult and child bikes, plus baby seats and helmets for a small cost).
|Sani Sports Centre||
The facilities at the Sani Sports Centre includes six clay flood lit tennis courts, a mini football court, basketball/volleyball court and table tennis.
|Sani Tennis Academy||
There are six Canada-Tennis clay courts at the Sports Centre, with their own changing rooms, showers and a players' sports bar. Open daily from 7am to 11pm, professional tennis coaches are available for both group and individual lessons. The Academy holds provides family lessons and hosts kids camps and teens programs.
The watersports station at Sani Beach offers a good selection for example catamaran, windsurfing, waterskiing, canoes and pedalos. (A second watersports station is located at Sani Club). The Sea World Scuba Diving center is PADI approved. This fully equipped diving center is up to date with the latest technology and training standards and offers a wide selection of under-water excursions including a visit to a shipwreck.
|Sani Water Park||
Located next to Sani Hill, the Sani Water Park will keep your children entertained for the entire vacation, with some of the best water activities around.
|Children's Sailing Academy||
The Sani Sailing Academy is for children aged 6 - 17 years. A chance to have fun on the water and gain the knowledge and practical skills of sailing, children will be taught by a team of expert instructors (English speaking) in the popular Optimist dinghies. Children between 14-17 can learn in the bigger and faster Laser.
Laser class sailing is one of the leading light sailing categories, often providing an introductory level to professional competitions. The Sani Marina Sailing academy will welcome new participants of 6-17 years between May and August, offering them an intensive 10-hour course on dry land and off-shore. Parents are welcome to watch the final race and attend the award ceremony. A “Certificate of attendance” will be accredited by the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki and qualifies for membership in any nautical club worldwide as well as participation in Optimist and Laser sailing races too.

Sani Resort is located on the Kassandra Peninsular, the western of the three 'fingers of Halkadiki' on the Aegean Sea in Northern Greece. The adjacent Peninsula's are Sithonia and Mt. Athos. Sani overlooks Mount Olympus and is close to one of the most beautiful European cities, Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki is a vibrant city thronged with students and packed with contemporary art museums, galleries, designer shops set along the shore line.
When to go
Halkidiki is blessed with sunshine for the majority of the year, but it really only starts to gets consistently warm during the day from April to October, although it is still cool at nights in April/May and October. The best time to travel is June, July and September.
