The climate in Greece is warm and sunny for the majority of the year with the risk of the odd shower of rain and some cooler periods over the winter. Kyrimai Hotel is a historic hotel dating back to the 1870s located on the Peloponnese's Mani Peninsula. Set on the water, it makes for the perfect peaceful getaway, while a variety of ancient sites are located nearby, just waiting to be explored.

Kyrimai Hotel is housed in a series of historic buildings dating back to the 19th century, which has been carefully restored using the original building materials. Throughout the quaint complex there are hidden terraces, peaceful courtyards and stone arches, with the effect that the hotel itself almost feels like a small village. The 22 rooms showcase the original features of the buildings, with exposed stone walls and beautiful wooden beam ceilings, complemented by light colors and charming furnishings.
The restaurant at Kyrimai is one of the hotel's highlights and something that the whole team is proud of. The chef uses fresh ingredients from the Peloponnese to create a delicious offering of traditional Mani recipes, which vary even between the coastal and hillside communities of the region. Guests will have the chance to taste a wide range of these unique dishes which have been given a creative twist while enjoying the beautiful views across the water that the restaurant offers.
For those looking to unwind, Kyrimai has a lovely pool looking over the sea, as well as direct access to the sparkling water. Once you've had your fill of relaxation, the Mani Peninsula is well worth exploring, even just to take in the incredible scenery and breathtaking views from its hilltops. Close by, the beautiful Cape Tainaron is where the Ioanian and Aegean seas meet, while further afield are the towns of Kardamyli and Mystras, the latter of which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its fascinating Byzantine ruins.
The 22 rooms at Kyrimai Hotel make full use of the hotel's historic appearance, with exposed stone walls and wooden-beamed ceilings throughout. Each room is decorated with natural colors and antique furnishings, ensuring every room has its own unique character. The Superior Sea View rooms offer beautiful views across the water and share a terrace with an outdoor seating area. Some of the rooms have fireplaces while others have Jacuzzi bathtubs.
|Two-level Superior Deluxe||
These Superior Deluxe rooms are split over two levels, with the sitting room on the lower level and the bedroom on the mezzanine above. The sitting room has a fireplace and the bathroom boasts a Jacuzzi bathtub. There is also a private balcony overlooking the sea. Two-level Superior Deluxe rooms measure a total of 28 sqm.
The Junior Suite measures 30 sqm and boasts a beautiful sea view. Traditionally decorated, the room has a fireplace, Jacuzzi bathtub and an outdoor seating area on the terrace.
Measuring 40 sqm the Loft Suite is a comfortable and spacious room offering a panoramic view from its balcony.
The Two-level Suite occupies two levels, each of which has its own bathroom and balcony. The lower level houses the sitting room, while upstairs the bedroom offers a beautiful view of the Cavo Grosso rock. The Two-level Suite measures a total of 60 sqm.
Measuring 65 sqm, the Master Suite offers fantastic views of the water towards the Cavo Grosso rock, especially from the balcony. The large sitting room occupies the lower level, while upstairs on the mezzanine is the bedroom.
Children of all ages are welcome at Kyrimai Hotel, however there are no specific childcare facilities.

How to get there
There are direct flights from London Heathrow to Kalamata with British Airways or regular flights with EasyJet to Kalamata from London Gatwick. Flights take approximately 3.5 hours and from here it is a two-and-a-half-hour road transfer to Kyrimai Hotel. Alternatively, Kyrimai Hotel is a four-hour drive from Athens Airport.
