New for the 2015/16 season, the Hotel Pashmina has one of the best locations in Val Thorens, with guests having instant access to the entire Val Thorens domain and the rest of the Three Valleys beyond. Contemporary, chic yet cozy, the hotel is the perfect mountain hideaway.

The rooms and suites are elegant and comfortable, and all have views over the surrounding valley and peaks. The suites are ideal for families and range in size from one to three bedrooms, whilst the chalet apartments are perfect for the more independent skier. Or, for a night to remember, the igloo pod on the roof lets you sleep under the stars.

Pashmina takes all things culinary very seriously, with quality produce and authentic local dishes under the expert eye of award winning chef Romuald Fassenet, in the two restaurants Le Base Camp and Les Explorateurs. Every Wednesday, guests can go by snowmobile up the mountain to Chalet de la Marine - the highest in Val Thorens for an evening of traditional gourmet dining - tartiflette, fondue, pot-au-feu and many other regional dishes.

The hotel has a large Spa, with treatment rooms using L'Occitane products, steam room and sauna, with an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The highest ski resort in Europe at 2,300m, Val Thorens forms part of the Trois Vallées with over 600 km of piste - the largest linked ski area in the world. Surrounded by six glaciers, the resort is situated in a vast natural cirque, with guaranteed snow cover from November to May and a ski area offering something for every ability of skier.


Hotel Pashmina features 42 rooms and suites ranging from 19 to 70 m², eight "Cozy Homes" from 60 to 155 m², and two 130 m² chalet apartments, all with mountain views, and most with balconies. For a memorable night under the stars, there is even an igloo pod on the roof.


The Elegance Rooms are 19m2 with a double bed or two twins. South east facing with a balcony overlooking the Massif de Péclet, they feature a shower room, WC, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi. These rooms can interconnect.

Everest XXL

The Cozy Home 4XXL Everest is approximately 153sqm with 4 ensuite bedrooms (one without a window), a Turkish bath, large living area, dining area and open plan kitchen.


The Excellence Rooms measure 25m2 and feature a double or two twin beds. They have east facing balconies with views over the Massif de Péclet and have a shower room with bath, WC, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi. These rooms can interconnect.

Junior Suite

Measuring 36m2, the Junior Suites feature a double bed or two twins. They have a living area, dressing room, bath and shower, separate WC, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi. An extra person can be accommodated in the living area.

Junior Suite XL

Exceptionally spacious at 45m2, the Junior Suite XL has a double bed, living area with wood burner, dressing room, bath and shower, separate WC, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi. There is space in the living area to accommodate an extra person.

Prestige XXL

Enormous at 70m2, these suites have two bedrooms, one with a double and the second with either a double or twin beds. They feature a bath and shower, separate WC, spacious living area with exceptional views, private steam room, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi.

Cosy Home

The Cozy Homes at Pashmina are super luxurious suites, accommodating from two up to six people. They are exceptionally spacious, with separate bedroom and large double beds (and a choice of double or twins in the larger homes), open plan kitchen, wood burner, dressing room, cable TV and multimedia satellite internet, smart phone docking station, safe and WiFi. Some feature Jacuzzi baths, and others have a steam room.

Chalet Apartment

These apartments offer guests total independence, whilst having use of all the hotel facilities. Sleeping up to eight, they have balconies with south facing views.

Igloo Pod

On the roof of the hotel is this unique accommodation, where guests can spend a night under the stars.


Families are made to feel very welcome at Le Pashmina with a playroom for kids and the option to dine in the restaurant from 7pm.


On-site eating options include 2 restaurants run by Romuald Fassenet, awarded the Meilleur Ouvrier de France prize, along with Josselin Jeanblanc. Alternatively the le Deck bar and terrace is good for a bite of lunch or après-ski.

There is a Spa by L'Occitane with indoor swimming pool, solarium, sauna, Turkish bath, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi and 3 treatment rooms.

Ski rental is available on site from the Goitschel ski shop with ski-in/ski-out access.

Le Chalet de la Marine

Dine at the highest mountain restaurant in Val Thorens. Every Wednesday guests can travel by snow truck or snowmobile to reach this high altitude gourmet experience. Specialities include fondue, tartiflette and pot-au-feu.

Val Thorens is the highest of the Three Valley resorts and lies at an altitude of 2300m.

When to go

Val Thorens offers great skiing throughout the winter. The Trois Vallées has both sunny south facing slopes, which are ideal on colder days, and higher more shaded skiing with snow-sure slopes. On one side, the North-facing slopes of Courchevel offer further great skiing and on the other, the Val Thorens valley has some of Europe's highest altitude skiing. Easy access to the entire Three Valleys makes it hard to beat from December through to late April.
