Walking into La Cachette, you can't fail to be overwhelmed by the expansive views from the balcony. This south facing villa looks over the Cote d'Azur and is designed to make the most of its surroundings. Right at the top of a quiet residential area, the villa has protected woodland behind and a good sized garden all around, giving it a real sense of privacy. La Cachette is situated in a great location on the Cote d'Azur.
Full of natural light, the villa mixes contemporary minimalist design with homely touches. The spacious main open plan living and dining area is on the ground floor entrance level, with floor to ceiling glass panels leading out onto a wide sunny terrace, set up for al fresco dining. Also on this floor is a separate cloakroom and the en suite master bedroom with a built in bath, separate shower, dressing room and large windows that lead out onto the terrace. This deck terrace leads round the property and to the saltwater infinity pool at the side, with steps down into the garden which is fringed with palms and Cypress trees. Below, on the lower ground floor there are two further bedrooms, a double (that can also serve as a twin) with an en suite shower room, and a twin with a separate shower room, both with doors out onto the garden.
The garden and saltwater pool are perfect for families. The pool has a good sized terrace and features gentle steps down into it. The garden is a fabulous size, and ideal for children to play and run around. It's landscaped with typical Mediterranean shrubs and plants, with a large lawn sloping down to the boundary, surrounding the front and both sides of the villa. There is a garage and good space for parking.
Close to the glamour of the coast, it's just a stone's throw from some historic Provencal villages and the small town of Vence nearby, with its artisan shops and groves of olive and orange trees. Once you've wandered through the streets of galleries and shops, it's the perfect place to relax in one of the many cafés. There's a daily market on the Place Clémenceau inside the old village where you'll find flowers, fish, honey and all sorts of herbs and spices, and a weekly market at the Place du Grand Jardin. This is an area well-known for its links to famous artists, and the nearby St Paul de Vence is no exception. A hilltop fortified village, filled with galleries and boutiques, it played host to Matisse, Picasso and Dufy, to name but a few at the beginning of the last century. The Colombe d'Or is worth visiting for lunch (a reservation will be necessary) to admire some of the original artwork on the walls.

July is the driest month, and rain showers tend to be infrequent.
