Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Provence enjoys a pleasant, Mediterranean climate. On average, Provence gets 300 days of sunshine each year, with warm but mild temperatures. Summer is high season here, with August bringing the hottest weather and the biggest crowds. Spring is a great time of year, the weather is warm, with temperatures swaying between 16 and 20°C, and the crowds are small. If you want to see lavender fields then it would be best to visit the region in June. In October the weather starts to cool. Fall is also the start of the wettest weeks of the year. October sees an average of 3.7 inches of rain, with an average of three inches following in November. Still, it never gets all that chilly and snow is rare. Hotel Crillon Le Brave is closed in January and February.

Description

Sitting at the foot of Mont Ventoux, Domaine des Tilleuls is a former 18th-century magnanery (silk farm), set in the heart of the typically Provençal village of Malaucène. The lush, spacious gardens are lined with lime, ash and cedar trees with a pool.

The hotel is the perfect base for exploring the fantastic cycling and walking options in the area and is a popular choice, especially for cyclists, given the proximity to the Tour de France circuit. Should you wish to explore the area there are cycle shops very close by to the hotel where you can rent bikes.

The family run-hotel featured just 19 rooms which are all individually designed and furnished with vintage furniture.  There are many original features throughout the hotel including the ancient stone walls. There is a small dining room where breakfast is served, or if the weather is pleasant you can also dine on the terrace.

There is spa located just 400 meters from the hotel featuring an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish bath and fitness room.
