Darkoum C is located on the top floor of Chalet Darkoum. It is a small, cozy chalet apartment with low sloping ceilings and lovely character rooms. It has an open-plan kitchen and living room and there are three bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. Although there are three bedrooms (sleeping up to six), the chalet is best suited for four, due to limited space in the communal living areas.
A popular chalet with families, this chalet apartment is opposite the Bellecote piste, so is extremely convenient for access to the green slopes and to the main Croisette lifts. This is a cozy chalet-apartment and although it doesn't have an open fireplace, it is a firm favorite due to its fantastic location and suitability for small groups and families.
For larger groups, two or three of the Darkoum apartments can be taken together to accommodate up to 23 guests.
All three bedrooms can be configured as twins or doubles. The master room has an en-suite bathroom and views of the Courchevel 1650 ski area. Please note that all three rooms have low sloping ceilings under the eaves.

Scott Dunn pioneered skiing vacations with childcare, allowing parents the freedom to ski whilst their children are expertly looked after by a qualified private nanny. Our handpicked childcare team are qualified professionals, whose enthusiasm and nurturing abilities are in abundance, so much so that both parents and children often ask to take them home. In our Courchevel chalets, our private nannies look after children from as young as four months, making sure the entire family has a relaxed, fun and memorable vacation. They organize age appropriate activities and can take the older ones to and from ski school, allowing you to spend all day on the slopes. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can provide babysitting.
All our Scott Dunn nannies are fully qualified (CACHE trained or similar) and are carefully selected for their natural ability with children and their nurturing and fun approach. We provide rigorous pre-season training which includes a paediatric first aid course, water safety and spending time with our chefs learning how to prepare nutritious snacks and lunches. Available for five days a week, they ensure your children enjoy a range of activities, whilst adhering to their home routines. They can also take children to, and collect from ski school each day.
Babysitting can be arranged in the evenings and is chargeable by the hour (€20 for the first hour, then €10 per hour until midnight, and €20 per hour thereafter).
Facilities at Chalet Darkoum C include a shared (with Darkoum and B) ski and boot room with boot warmers and the open plan lounge and dining area features a flat screen TV with UK channels, DVD player, Apple TV and bluetooth soundbar.
The open plan lounge and diner has a large flatscreen TV with UK channels, Blu-ray DVD player, Apple TV and a bluetooth soundbar.
On the lower ground floor and shared between the three Darkoum properties is the ski/boot room, access outside by code, with boot warmers and space for skis and boards.
|GoPro HD camera||
All our chalets come with a GoPro HD camera. Film your exploits on the pistes and watch the results on screen in the chalet at the end of the day. Attached to a chest harness, these devices are really easy to use, and are a fun way to see where you've skied that day, or how your children are now skiing better than you! We can also provide you with a memory stick (at a small charge) for you to edit your own film after your vacation.
Courchevel has a reputation as a place for rock stars and royalty but make no mistake, it is one of the world’s premier ski resorts with good reason. The skiing has breadth and depth that is unequalled. The extent of the Three Valleys combined with perfectly groomed runs, vertiginous off-piste couloirs, gentle runs at village level and much admired tree skiing mean Courchevel has lots for skiers of all standards.
If skiing is just a sideshow for you, the boutiques and art galleries will keep you occupied until it is lunchtime at one of Courchevel’s many fine restaurants. Most renowned eateries including Cap Horn, Chalet de Pierres, Bel Air and Soucoupe are accessible by road or by gondola.
Apart from skiing, the village has plenty to offer. We recommend a flight from the famous altiport or a cookery course with Michel Rochedy, the Michelin starred chef at Le Chabichou. The toboggan run to 1550 is another favorite. There is a farmers’ market on Wednesdays and the Forum is home to an Olympic ice rink, bowling alley, climbing wall and small gym. Paragliding, horse drawn carriage rides, forest walks, show-shoeing, cross-country skiing, ice karting and hot-air balloon rides are also possible.
Courchevel hosts special events including the International Pyrotechnic Festival, the most impressive fireworks display you will ever see, and ski-jumping competitions at the Olympic ski jump in Le Praz.
Our revered chalet service is the foundation of Scott Dunn upon which our reputation as the benchmark for top quality chalet vacations has been built. Cook hosts are carefully chosen for their ability to provide exactly the kind of service a family will need in our smaller properties. They combine the ability and experience to prepare delicious dishes tailored to your tastes with the ability to provide seamless unintrusive service in your home from home.
Your Chalet Manager will be an experienced hospitality professional who will take responsibility for ensuring that your skiing vacation meets and exceeds your expectations. They will arrange transfers, lift passes, ski guiding and tuition, advise you on where to ski, where to have lunch and where not to and address any problems that come up.
Our trained drivers offer a prompt and pleasant service delivering you to and from the slopes each day to start your skiing in style. On your chef's night off the driver can collect you from your restaurant until 11.00pm. Our 4x4 vehicles are the most comfortable and safest means of transport available.
Scott Dunn private nannies are available on request. All our nannies are fully qualified with a mature but fun approach to childcare.

Location & Directions
Courchevel 1850, France
Chalet Darkoum is well positioned in a peaceful part of Courchevel, enjoying views over the Bozel valley and only 100 meters from the (green) Bellecote piste and a 15 minute walk to the village center.
Geneva 226km, Chambery 103km, Lyon 181km, Grenoble 125km.
When to go
Courchevel offers a great balance of high and medium altitude and predominantly north-facing slopes to offer excellent skiing throughout the winter. In December, huge capacity for artificial snowmaking and the connection to the Val Thorens valley make good skiing probable. Courchevel really comes into its own from January to March, typically seeing regular snowfalls. When it gets really cold, runs to the lower villages are bearable and come spring time, north-facing pitches hold up well.
