Description

The Royal Champagne is a contemporary hotel located a short distance from Epernay. Set in the heart of the Champagne region, you are within easy reach of many of the Champagne houses, so Champagne tasting is a must during a stay here.

Just a couple of hours from Paris, the Royal Champagne offers the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday or spa break with optional excursions to keep you entertained, as well as stunning vineyard views. The nearby village of Hautvillers is just a 15-minute cycle ride away, where you can soak up true French countryside charm and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine, whilst watching the world go by in the main square. This is also where the tomb of Dom Perignon is located.

With just 49 rooms and suites, the hotel exudes an exclusive atmosphere in a contemporary style with plenty of character. There are ample public areas where you can relax with a book next to a roaring fire in the winter and in the summer, the sprawling terrace or heated outdoor infinity pool are ideal spots to soak up the sun and views.

There are two restaurants at the hotel; Le Royal is a fine dining option with a Michelin star and Le Bellevue offers a more casual brasserie-style setting. Le Bellevue also features a bar with a wide selection of champagne and cocktails to enjoy on the terrace. Naturally, wine and champagne play a prominent role in the hotel and if you are looking for something special the Salon Fines Bulles offers a tasting room, seating up to 8 people, where the hotel’s master sommelier will delight you with tastes and stories of the region. You can also choose to dine at the chef’s table for a truly immersive gastronomic experience.

The expansive spa has a large indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, thalassotherapy pool, gym and yoga studio and a beauty salon. Specialising in rejuvenating skin treatments the spa has a range of signature skin treatments using revolutionary French-designed products.

The Royal Champagne Hotel is a lovely spot to head to for a complete relaxation and to really wind down with amazing views and a brilliant spa too. Once you've regained some energy, you can cycle down to the nearby town of Hautvillers on the hotel's complimentary e-bikes and enjoy a coffee in the main square. Of course, being in Champange, there are plenty of Champagne houses to visit for tours and tastings too.
