Villa Saffron is a delightful six-bedroom haven located in the charming village of Zaton, just outside Dubrovnik. Tranquil, secluded and close to the waterfront, Villa Saffron makes for the ideal family getaway, with plenty of privacy and outdoor space.
Just a 20-minute drive from Dubrovnik old town is the luxurious Villa Saffron, a historical 16th century mansion located mere moments from the sparkling waters of the Adriatic Sea. Zaton is a quaint village away from the crowds of the typical tourist track, and offers the perfect setting for a secluded family escape.
Villa Saffron is an impressive stone building, and completely walled, creating a safe space for children to play in. Guests are able to relax and unwind in the large sheltered gardens, and spend quality time in this secluded area hidden away from the outside world. The décor throughout the villa is contemporary, yet original architectural features stand out, such as the exposed stone walls which can be seen in each of the well-appointed bedrooms and several living areas. Two of the six bedrooms are located on the ground floor, while each of the four split-level rooms upstairs provides a lounge area and en-suite facilities.
There are several communal areas at Villa Saffron, from the cavernous dining room, lounge and bar, to the library on the first floor. The real allure, however, is outside, where large, shaded terraces provide ample seating and dining space and the pool welcomes guests looking to cool down after a day spent in the beautifully manicured garden. The roof terrace is the perfect setting for evening drinks, offering fantastic views and the chance to watch the setting sun dance across the Adriatic Sea.
Outside the villa walls is a small jetty, where it is possible to dock private boats or yachts to take guests to Dubrovnik for the day, or explore a handful of Croatia’s enchanting islands. Surrounded by natural beauty, with the cobbled streets of Dubrovnik close at hand, Villa Saffron sits in the perfect location to discover the very best that Croatia has to offer.
Complete with a daily housekeeper and house manager offering concierge services, every whim will be taken care of at Villa Saffron, allowing guests to truly unwind and enjoy a blissful Dalmatian retreat.
There are six bedrooms at Villa Saffron, four of which provide en-suite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, while the four upstairs bedrooms are split-level with a comfortable lounge area. Rooms are spacious with contemporary furnishings, while original features of the villa stand out, ensuring each room has style and character.
Children are more than welcome at Villa Saffron, and will have ample space to play in the secluded walled garden. High chairs are available on request, however there are no other specific child care facilities.
Villa Saffron is serviced by daily housekeeping, as well as by a house manager providing a fantastic concierge service.
There is a kitchen and bar adjacent to the main dining room, as well as a fully-equipped professional kitchen at Villa Saffron. There are several living and dining areas throughout the house, with shaded terraces and courtyards for outdoor dining and comfortable seating areas. Bose and Sonos sound systems run both inside and outside the villa.
Villa Saffron has its own 34 sq. m. pool within its large manicured gardens. Further afield, the fascinating old town of Dubrovnik is just a 20-minute drive away, and it is also possible to reach the city by boat. Across the road from Villa Saffrom is a small jetty, where guests can charter a yacht to reach Dubrovnik or explore the surrounding islands.

Whilst a lot of people opt to climb the city walls of Dubrovnik Old Town, an alternative or additional must-do is the cable car up Mount Srd above the town. You wont be disappointed by the views.

As the property is a historical listed building, the internal staircase accessing the upstairs bedrooms is open-sided with a rope handrail on the exposed edge.
Please take extra care when using the staircase to walk on the internal side which has a fixed banister, keeping a close eye on and assisting young children in particular.
