Palais Hansen Kempinski re-opened after a major refurbishment in March 2013. Blending old-world charm and traditional detail with contemporary touches and cutting edge technology, it's a great base for exploring everything Vienna has to offer. The neo-classical building itself is a Vienna landmark: designed by architect Theophil Hansen, as a hotel, it had various uses in the 20th century. The renovated hotel is now a one of the city's most fashionable, with two restaurants, a cigar lounge, a welcoming lobby lounge bar, as well as excellent spa and fitness facilities.
Blending traditional Viennese and modern decor, the rooms at the Palais Hansen come with every modern convenience, including ipad-controlled entertainment systems and nespresso machines. Some of the top suites offer rooftop terraces with panoramic views.
Children are welcome at the hotel. Kids can take part in a special tour of the hotel to see how everything works behind the scenes. There is a special table for children at breakfast, making sure the whole family has a perfect start to the day
The hotel has two restaurants, "Die Küche", which is the main restaurant offering Austrian and international classics, and "Edvard", the michelin-starred fine dining choice supervised by chef Anton Pozeg. Drinks are served in the main bar, lobby lounge and the cigar lounge.
