Situated in the peaceful Stadle area of St Anton, Lodge Danube is a superb luxury chalet with four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Lodge Danube is one of the four Arlberg Lodges which were created when an old sawmill was converted in 2006. The long building was divided into four chalets, Adler, Danube, Christoph and Danube, to create some of the finest chalet accommodation in St Anton. While Lodge Danube sleeps 6 in great comfort and privacy, the layout of the building lends itself well to larger groups wanting to take more than one lodge - we can accommodate up to 36 in en-suite accommodation and the shared balcony has an exterior fireplace where gluhwein and canapés can be served to larger groups.

All four lodges are similar in style, characterized by deep rich colors and a contemporary style, but maintaining a traditional chalet feeling in the wooden beams and floors. The large en-suite bedrooms (25-35 m2) are on the ground and lower ground floors. Every bedroom is equipped with wide Austrian twin/double beds on polished wooden floors, a flat screen TV and DVD player. The bathrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with modern Italian tiles. The baths and walk-in showers are huge, and the Zucchetti fittings lend a highly contemporary touch.

Upstairs, the superbly comfortable open plan living space has vaulted ceilings, deep sofas and a blazing log fire to create a real chalet or log cabin atmosphere. The flat screen TV can be used to watch a film, UK satellite TV, or footage from the day's skiing. There is also an iPad for our guests' use.

Please note, the industrial kitchen (staff only) is shared with Lodge Christoph and is locked at night and during the day when staff are not present. However, there is a fully stocked drinks fridge, 2 ring hob and tea and coffee making facilities for guests to use at any time.

The fabulous Wellness area is also on the top floor. The sauna is ideal for relaxing aching muscles and, out on the roof, the outdoor hot tub allows you to relax and look up at the stars in complete privacy.

Since we began offering the very best luxury chalet skiing vacations in 1986, our service has continually to set the standard to which other chalet companies aspire. The chefs, hosts, drivers, nannies and managers who work with Scott Dunn are professionals who take pride in wanting to make sure that this will be the best vacation you have ever had. Our revered Scott Dunn chalet service combines a personal, friendly approach with a complete commitment to ensuring that your vacation is everything you could want.

Please note, all of our chalets are non-smoking inside.

Lodge Danube adds a modern twist to the luxury ski chalet vacation in one of the Alps' best ski resorts.

Lodge Danube has four spacious and beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms. Each bed is wonderfully comfortable - 100cm wide and made with fluffy duvets and natural feather and synthetic pillows to guarantee you a great night's sleep. Every bedroom has a flat screen TV (with 10 UK channels), DVD player and audio system and an armchair or a sofa to relax in. Every en-suite bathroom is spacious, stylish and has under floor heating. Rainforest showers and large baths offer total pampering.

Scott Dunn pioneered skiing holidays with childcare, allowing parents the freedom to ski whilst their children are expertly looked after by a qualified private nanny. Our handpicked childcare team are qualified professionals, whose enthusiasm and nurturing abilities are in abundance, so much so that both parents and children often ask to take them home. In our St Anton Lodges, our private nannies look after children from as young as four months, making sure the entire family has a relaxed, fun and memorable holiday. They organise age appropriate activities and can take the older ones to and from ski school, allowing you to spend all day on the slopes. A nutritious lunch is served each day, as well as healthy snacks, with any dietary requirements taken into account and your child’s routine will be strictly adhered to. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers on request, including nappies and wipes, usually free of charge. And if you’d like to go out in the evening, we can arrange babysitting.

Lodge Danube offers a beautiful wellness area including an open-air hot tub and sauna to indulge in after a hard day's skiing. In each bedroom there is a flat screen TV with some UK channels, DVD player and music system. In the lounge area is a large flat screen TV with some UK channels, DVD player and fire. The Lodge will also have a selection of games suitable for all ages.

Please note, the industrial kitchen (staff only) is shared with Lodge Christoph and is locked at night and during the day when staff are not present. However, there is a fully stocked drinks fridge, 2 ring hob and tea and coffee making facilities for guests to use at any time.

Outside in the welcome area is a large open fire place and sheep skin rugs. Ideal for those who wish to have pre dinners drinks outside.

St Anton is just one part of the awesome Arlberg. The excellent snow record combined with such an extensive area means it should be high on the list for any good skier. The backcountry potential is such that a guide is essential if you wish to do more than scratch the surface. While the terrain can be challenging for those with only a few weeks’ experience, the Rendl area offers some easier runs and plenty of sun.

Aside from the skiing, St Anton exudes character and charm and the Tyrolean hospitality is not to be missed. The village itself is what Alpine villages should be like and there is a wealth of good restaurants shops. St Anton is famous for après ski and the Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh are world-renowned.

The wellness centre, the is highly acclaimed and there is masses more to do, including walking, rock climbing, ice skating, sleigh riding, curling, tennis squash and plenty more.

Lodge Danube is complemented by our revered Scott Dunn chalet service. Our team pride themselves on ensuring that service is seamless and anticipating your every need. Your private chef will serve mouthwatering dishes from a menu tailored to your tastes. Your host will manage your whole holiday, from restaurant bookings to ensuring a smart 4 wheel drive vehicle is ready to take you skiing and keeping your glass topped up with a carefully chosen wine or a perfectly mixed gin & tonic.

Breakfast and afternoon tea is served daily with pre-dinner champagne and spirits followed by gourmet dinners on six nights with wine. Our driver service offers a fleet of vehicles to whisk you to and from the slopes.

Above all, our chalet service is personal and we will endeavour to make your stay your perfect holiday.

When to travel

St Anton has an enviable reputation for its snow. The Eastern Alps frequently benefit from early snow and the largely pastoral terrain does not need a hugely deep base to offer great skiing conditions. As a result, St Anton frequently offers some of the best skiing in the Alps in December and January. The microclimate means that snowfalls are more prolific than in many other resorts and with plenty of skiing above 2000 metres, conditions can be great right up until late April.
