The 17 rooms are all a reasonable size, each have their own individual design with a homely Scottish feel. They are all named after the Scottish highland islands, keeping the Scottish theme throughout. They all have lovely views on to the stunning grounds of the surrounding mountains. As with the bedrooms, all of the en-suite bathrooms are different. Some equipped with an old fashioned copper roll top bath, while others have a more modern power shower and others have a bath and a shower.
The award winning menu at Inverlochy, can be enjoyed in each of the three dining rooms, which are all styled in a period fashion and much of the furniture was given as a gift from the King of Norway. The ingredients on the menu are sourced as locally as possible, with many of the cuts of meat and fillets of fish being reared very close by in the Highlands.
The area of Lochaber in which the castle is situated is famous for its outdoor activities, so there is plenty to keep you entertained during your stay. From golf to water sports, off road driving and mountain biking to clay pigeon shooting and climbing, there is something for everyone.

When to go
It is very difficult to predict the weather in the United Kingdom - in the summer from May to late September is generally seen as the most pleasant time to visit. Rainfall is difficult to predict - but the UK does not receive as much as many are led to believe! In the winters, temperatures do fall, but there is nothing better than finding a remote pub with a roaring fire to sit beside after a long walk in the country.
