A trip North to Swedish Lapland's superb ski resort Björkliden wont disappoint. A wide range of amazing winter activities are possible from your doorstep including snow-mobiling, husky sledding, on piste and heli-skiing and snow-shoeing. Not to mention the tantalising prospect of seeing the incredible Northern Lights.
While staying in one of the cabins, consider a truly unusual overnight trip to Sweden's highest mountain lodge, Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge. The lodge is located 9 km further up the mountain from Björkliden so bedding down here really means you will sleep in the midst of the wilderness. Enjoy a sauna, gourmet food and a glowing fire in this mountain retreat. And of course you will be hard pressed to find somewhere as perfectly placed for Northern Lights viewing, with light pollution almost negligible.
