This charming Stora Hotellet Bryggan is spread over two buildings; Bryggan Fjällbacka is located right on the water's edge of the harbour and Stora Hotellet is just 50 metres back on Ingrid Bergman Square. Each of the buildings is individually decorated.

Bryggan Fjällbacka has been decorated with Newport in mind. White-washed wooden floors with blue red and white furniture and linen give a relaxed nautical feel and make the rooms perfectly suited to the location of the hotel.

The décor is fun and quirky, with each room individually designed to tell a story of the previous owner's favourite discoverers, cities and famous women! The Stora Hotellet offers 5 different restaurants to choose from. Below the rooms at Bryggan Fjällbacka is the hotel's renowned bistro. Tables are arranged out on the deck and the laid back atmosphere, flowing wine, lively crowd and incredible colours of the sun setting over the water make it the place to be during the summer. Next door is their more formal À la carte restaurant which also has a piano bar. Between the waterfront and the Stora Hotellet you can find their delicious tapas restaurant, American grill style restaurant, that has a fantastic terrace with sea views, and on the terrace of the hotel is their delightful Italian café.

There is so much to do in Fjällbacka - take a ferry to the Weather islands; the western-most islands of Sweden where you can organise a wonderful day's sailing trip around the archipelago, stopping on whichever island you please for a scrumptious homemade picnic.
