The Paspaley family have a long history in Australia’s North West and are best known for heir beautiful pearl jewelry - Pinctada Cable Beach is just another of their gems. Pinctada Cable Beach is a mix of casual resort living and up-market hotel. It is located just 10 minutes' walk from Cable Beach, perhaps Western Australia's most famous beach and certainly the most photographed beach in Broome.
The resort includes a range of deluxe rooms and suites designed and furnished in a style that is evocative of ‘old Broome’. Celebrity gardener Jamie Durie has designed the gardens which include plunge and lapping pools and provide an ambiance of relaxed, tropical elegance.
Each of the guest rooms has an en-suite bathroom, a private balcony or terrace and is air conditioned. The rooms are gathered either around the central swimming pool or in serene, meditative courtyard gardens. Guest rooms are fresh and light, echoing the colors of the Kimberley; louvers, ceiling fans and terraces reflect the architecture of old Broome.
Facilities at Pinctada include the intimate Nyx cocktail bar, the casual Brizo pool café and bar as well as Selene, a fine dining restaurant. Melbourne’s well known chef Greg Malouf has designed the menu at Selene and it highlights fresh, seasonal produce from Australia’s oceans, farms and Paspaley’s own market garden. There is a resort boutique, guest laundry, guest gym and the Pinctada Spa offering treatments based on native Australian botanical products.
All studio and Honjin Courtyard rooms are Kimberley sized with a private balcony or courtyard from which to enjoy the balmy Broome climate. Each of the four Master Pearler Suites has a kitchenette, dining area, study, separate living room, enclosed verandah and overlooks the central swimming pool. They are well positioned for enjoying Broome's spectacular setting suns and rising moons.
The Honjin Coutyards consist of eight individual rooms, some with kitchenettes, opening onto a shared courtyard with lush gardens and a relaxation plunge pool. The resort is well planned to allow for families who wish to share interconnecting rooms ensuring privacy and a shared family atmosphere, for example a two-bedroom villa is created by combining a Studio and a Courtyard Suite.
Children are welcome, although there's no kids' club or babysitting.
Pinctada Cable Beach offers a number of dining options.
The award winning SELENE brasserie offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy fine Australian wines and a Mediterranean styled menu that celebrates the fresh produce of the region. All breads, pasta and desserts are made in-house by the talented chefs.
The Brizo Pool Bar and Cafe looks onto the cascading water feature and landscaped gardens of the resort's central swimming pool.
Nyx, the Greek Goddess of the night inspired the intimate cocktail bar, where you will find cold beers and cocktail creations.
