Average time to visit
The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.
The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.
High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!

Al Qasr provides both a great location with endless facilities and a luxurious palace like feel. With over 40 restaurants within the Madinet Resort which can be enjoyed on the dine around half board basis, a long stretch of beach with plenty of sun lounges and complimentary access to Wild Wadi Water Park.

Designed to be like a Sheikh's palace, Al Qasr feels grand and opulent. The location on Jumeirah Beach is fabulous, and guests get to dine around in over 40 restaurants, so it's ideal for families who like a lot of variety, and to have plenty of activities on hand.

Al Qasr is thought of as the palace of Madinat Jumeirah, so it has an opulent feel to it without being brash or bling. It is very tasteful and has great views of the Madinat. Like Dar Al Masyaf, you have access to 44 restaurants on site as well as complimentary access to Wild Wadi water park so it is the perfect place for people who want lots of variety!

Jumeirah Madinat Is a large complex split into three separate hotels linked by waterways with 44 restaurants you are allowed to try should you have the time, they have a large beach, souk area (Arabian Market) and various pools to choose from.
1.Mina al Salam is the hotel option for guests with a slightly more modest budget of the three hotels. It has an Old Arabic style, grand lobby with a huge pond of rose petals, the rooms have dark woods and feels like a subdued luxury. I would not sell or recommend the Arabian - Development Site View rooms unfortunately as they are very noisy 24 hours a day.
The rooms I would recommend are the Arabian Sea View Deluxe or suites as they will allow two children under 12 years sharing your room, this is great for smaller families or couples looking to access the Jumeirah complex at a lower budget.
2.Dar al Masyaf is the most exclusive section of the complex and the most popular with our Scott Dunn guests. It is made up of a collection of summer houses are joined by waterways which are spread all around the complex. Each house has around 9 rooms and 1 suite. The houses the self are split into two categories Arabian and Gulf. The Gulf are either Gulf (sea view) Rooms or Arabian (non sea) Rooms the Arabian houses have Arabian View only. There is one suite in each house Gulf view in Gulf Houses and Arabian View in Arabian Houses. All rooms interconnect so great for families. Feels like being in a boutique hotel spite being part of such a large resort. This hotel also has the best access to beach, childrens club and majority of restaurants.
3.Al Qasr is the more luxurious of the two main hotels and more suitable for couples than Mina al Salam. I would say Al Qasr is more glitzy and better located due to its proximity to beach; they have the kids club and the souk area with and many shops and restaurants, perfect for families. As with Mina al Salam rooms come either Arabian View or Gulf View but connecting rooms are upon request but not guaranteed unfortunately.
I highly recommend their new Mexican Restaurant called Tortuga, which is great to pop into for a casual yet yummy meal in the Mina al Salam, the Pulled Beef Burrito is excellent as is the Borrrego Mexican Tacos which is oven roasted Lamb in avocado leaves with green tomatillo sauce.

Al Qasr has been designed with the opulence of a palace: in regale golds and reds with Swarovski Crystal chandeliers. Getting around by Abras boats along the charming canal system is fun, especially at night when it is lit with fairy lights. Take the Abras to the souk in Madinat Jumeriah for dinner with a choice of 25 restaurants and an impressive view of Burj Al Arab.

The Al Qsar is part of the large Madinat Jumeirah hotel on the Jumeirah Beach. This is located close to the entrance to the Palm Development. The Madinat Jumeirah has a huge variety of restaurants to choose from which include a diverse range of foods from all over the world. The waterways that run through the hotel are a fun and exciting way of getting round the hotel especially for families. The souk, which is on the ground floor of the main building of the hotel, is extremely popular for anyone not wanting to leave the hotel but keen to experience some Arabic shopping.
