To start planning your vacation to Banyan Tree Al Wadi
With individual pool villas dotted around the desert landscape, Banyan Tree Al Wadi offers utter seclusion and relaxation, as well as having a number of wildlife activities to give the property a unique feel. The property perfectly merges the local Arabian culture with the Banyan Tree brand's East Asian Zen-like feel to give it a style all of its own.
The individual 1-bedroom villas are either outwardly designed to look like traditional Arabian mud-brick buildings, or are tented to reflect the Bedouin nomadic feel of the location. Elegantly decorated, interiors combine the plush and ornate with modern clean lines and a fresh feel. Private pools add to the exclusive feel of the property, but it is worth noting that the hotel does not have a main swimming pool.
Banyan Tree properties are known for their spas, and Banyan Tree Al Wadi is no exception. The spa has 10 lavish treatment pavilions, as well as a unique hydrotherapy center called the Rainforest, where visitors can wander between rooms with pools and showers of different temperatures, ice rooms, steam rooms and saunas.
With Banyan Tree Al Wadi's location within a nature reserve in the desert, it is the perfect place to enjoy the surrounding nature and wildlife. The property is home to a number of birds of prey, including falcons, two owls and hawks, and an afternoon spent participating in an intimate falconry display is a fantastic way to learn more about these fascinating creatures. There is an activity center where guests can also go camel or horse riding, meet for nature walks, do archery and much more.
The kids club is open to children from the age of four years, and combines indoor and outdoor activities, including bird watching and nature walks. Children under the age of four years can be accompanied by a parent or babysitter.

When to go
The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.
The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.
High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!
