Located 40 minutes into the Wahiba Sands among the rolling dunes of the desert, 1000 Nights Camp is in complete isolation. The staff here do not fail to ensure you have an enjoyable, adventurous evening watching the sunset and dining under the stars.
Here at Scott Dunn, we recommend staying in an Ameer Tent. These are fixed structures with tented walls and ceiling, and an en-suite bathroom. The tents have a private deck at the front with its own fire pit, and a separate deck at the back which faces towards the dunes, making it ideal for stargazing.
Dinner is often accompanied by a live Bedouin band. Arabic starters, salads and BBQ meat are served at the restaurant, followed by Arabic coffee and perhaps a shisha pipe.
The camp does have a small pool and a children's play area, and so this is a good option for adventurous families with younger children.
In and around the camp you can also go sand boarding, trekking in the dunes or venture into the awe inspiring desert landscape on a camel.
We recommend saying in an Ameer Tent, which is a very spacious fixed hut with a tented ceiling and walls. There is an en-suite bathroom and private decks at the front and back of the tent.
Children are welcome to come and stay at 1000 Nights Camp. There is a small pool and play area.
Facilities at the camp include a dining area and a swimming pool.
You will usually be out with your driver/guide during the day, but camel rides from the camp can be arranged, and we recommend booking these in advance.
