Uga Residence is a modern boutique hotel in the heart of Colombo. It is an eleven suite city hotel managed by Uga Escapes, and as such is both a sophisticated and luxurious option.
Uga Residence is a contemporary hotel with a glamorous and exclusive feel. Built around a central courtyard it gives a feeling of space and the outdoors with a great area for the pool and beautiful little outside dining area. The ideal location for couples looking to relax in the capital.
Uga Residence has just 11 suites each one measuring 75sqm consisting of a living room, bedroom, en-suite bathroom and outdoor private area. The Residence was originally a family home belonging to Sheikh Salehboy Moosajee, who designed it in the 18th century as a place to host large parties and grand scale receptions. As such the hotel retains much of its heritage feel and glamorous past.
Uga Residence is well-located within the city, only 30km from the airport, with easy access to the Colombo's business and shopping hotspots. The restaurant has been a huge success since the hotel opened with locals and guests alike, enjoying the haute cuisine with a contemporary twist, and giving the hotel a great atmosphere in the evenings. There is also a great cocktail bar with inventive new mixes including local and more exotic ingredients.
Uga Residence has 11 suites, consisting of a living room, bedroom, en-suite bathroom and private outdoor dining area. The suites are equipped with mini-bar, Nespresso machines and tea facilities, as well as large flat-screen TVs.

The staff are very helpful and will organize any sightseeing you are interested in. They will also book taxi's and drivers were necessary. There are so many wonderful things to do and see in Colombo, including museums, galleries, and restaurants, you certainly won't be bored!

The Uga Residences is an elegant boutique hotel in the heart of Colombo. Hidden down a leafy road it offers a peaceful escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The main house was originally built over 200 years ago and today retains its colonial charm with wooden floors, high ceilings and columns. With only 11 rooms Uga Residence feels very private offering a good place to relax at the start or end of any Sri Lanka vacation. Each room is very spacious and comes with a separate living area and small courtyard. The food at the restaurant gets rave reviews and is well known for its traditional local dishes and daily high tea.

Uga Residence is a fantastic choice in Colombo. It has one of the best pool areas I've seen in a city hotel and a great restaurant. If you are keen to get out and about, you will find yourself right in the action.
