Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is ideally located for access to Satpura National Park. It is a comfortable luxury lodge which includes a ‘Gol Ghar’ or meeting place, made up of an open plan dining area, a bar, a library, a gift shop and a lounge.
The swimming pool is located near the Gol Ghar. There are many communal outside dining and social areas set around fire pits and attractively illuminated by candle light, there’s even including a large outdoor screen for viewing nature documentaries.
The lodge’s 12 cottages are located over three different terrains so there is a choice of environment, lowlands near the stream, hilltop for views and forest for privacy: the cottages are spacious with viewing decks, large lounging bay-windows and either inside or outside bathrooms.
Satpura National park is easily accessible from Reni Pani a 30-minute drive to the Tawa Reservoir, and a short boatride across. The different safari options allow guests to experience the diversity of the park by jeep, boat, elephant and on foot. Satpura supports a strong wildlife population including Sloth Bear, Leopard, Dholes/wild dogs/India Giant Squirrel and the gaur or Indian Bison, as well as around 350 species of birds.
Guests staying at Reni Pani can also experience an authentic night drive in the buffer area as well as Satpura Under Canvas. Satpura Under Canvas is an overnight camping program which functions on a two night, three day basis, but can also be tailored to suit guests wanting to experience camping in the park for just one night.
There are just 12 rooms and Reni Pani Jungle Lodge, spread out in cottages. There are also four luxury tents.
These cottages are named after the seasonal stream/nullah, around which they are located at the central point of the lodge. They are therefore on the low-land and ideal for easy walking access to the Gol Ghar and all the lodge's facilities. These cottages have an inside bathroom as well as an outdoor shower; a large viewing deck, and wide lounging bay-windows.
These cottages are located at the highest point within the lodge's grounds, and so a steep 10minute walk from the central Gol Ghar. However the views of the Satpura mountain range are worth it. |Mobile Camp - Satpura Under Canvas||
Satpura Under Canvas is an exclusive wilderness mobile camp run by Reni Pani Lodge, which provides fantastic walking and wildlife opportunities. The camp is set up located a short drive away from Reni Pani Lodge on the boundary of the core area. Using the camp as a base, guests can explore the core area of the park on foot during half of full day hikes. Due to the remote location the private camp is very simple but it is comfortable.

Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, situated alongside the Satpura Hills on the edge of Satpura Tiger Reserve. The lodge is a mere 134 km from Bhopal (3-hour drive).
When to go
The climate of Madhya Pradesh can be labelled tropical and monsoonal. Seasonal variations occur mainly in the form of three distinct seasons - summer, winter and monsoon.
Summer runs from April until June with temperatures reaching over 40°C during the day, while early mornings and evenings are pleasant, around 18-24°C. Rainfall is heavy in the monsoon season which lasts from mid-June until September. Winters are pleasant and the best time to travel is from October to March when game viewing in the national parks is at its best.
Please note the national parks in this region are closed during the monsoon season, from July until October.
