A beautifully designed vessel, the Heritge Line Ylang has just ten individually styled Suites offering a supremely comfortable cruise around Lan Ha Bay
Charting a course through the lesser visited Lan Ha Bay, the cruise is a chance to explore floating fishing villages and kayak to hidden beaches
Combines adventure with a focus on holistic wellbeing, with a superb spa, Tai Chi and yoga on board
Delicious meals are served in the terrace dining room, with beautiful views over the bay and the jungle-clad hills beyond
The best time of year to visit Lan Ha Bay is during the spring or autumn. Because the bay is situated in the northern part of the country, it can get colder in the winter. The rainy season here is at its peak in July to September. July is the hottest month, January the coolest. The dry season runs from November to April.
A journey aboard Heritage Line Ylang is a chance to explore the spellbinding landscapes of Vietnam as you float through Lan Ha Bay aboard a ten-bedroom luxury vessel with a fully-equipped spa, yoga room and restaurant.
A beautifully designed, well-thought-out vessel, Heritage Line Ylang charts a course through the lesser visited Lan Ha Bay, allowing guests the opportunity to explore remote islands, swim in hidden coves and photograph dramatic limestone karsts.
The ten bedrooms on board are flooded with light from the glass doors that lead onto a private balcony, the sun casting a dappled light on the wooden panels, watercolour paintings and ornate detailing that gives each room a distinct character and charm. The six spacious Signature Suites and four Regency Suites are individually designed to reflect the beauty of one of Vietnam’s flowers and its season, from delicate cherry blossom to Royal bamboo. Opulent bathrooms with luxurious Italian marble, walk-in showers and bathtubs offer a sanctuary, LCD TV and WIFI.
Meals are taken in the dining room, with its beautiful views of the passing landscapes, though breakfast can be enjoyed in the privacy of your suite. With a delicious menu of Vietnamese and international dishes crafted from local, fresh ingredients, the flavours are rivalled only by the setting. Alongside a post-hike massage or soothing facial, the expansive spa creates a holistic wellness experience with yoga and tai chi at sunrise, while the pool offers a relaxing space to unwind when not exploring the beauty of Lan Ha Bay.
As you drift leisurely through Lan Ha Bay a world of opportunity awaits. Kayak across tranquil waters, explore hidden beaches and hike through the Cat Ba Island National Park. Visit a floating fishing village and discover traditional life on the bay. Back on ship your time is yours to enjoy as you wish, with movie nights, spa treatments, or simply watch the world go by from the sun deck.
The ten suites of the Ylang are elegantly designed, each taking inspiration from one of Vietnam’s flowers and representing this beauty through watercolour paintings, delicately carved wall panels, ornate detailing and hand-picked artefacts. Exceptionally spacious, the rooms range from the 40sq.m Signature Suites to the 51-53sq.m Regency Suites. With private balconies and large glass doors, the suites allow a seamless flow between the scenic splendour of the bay and the serenity of the interior, while WIFI, LCD TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar and air-conditioning bring the boat into the 21st century.
The large onboard spa is a luxuriously appointed space in which to enjoy a treatment, while the holistic wellness approach continues through other areas of the journey, including yoga, sunrise Tai Chi and specially created healthy meals. A pool and terrace offer a chance to unwind and enjoy the warmth of the Vietnamese sun, or cosy up in the library lounge or bar.
Today you will greet the beautiful Ylang, which will be home for the next two nights as you explore to start your exploration of Lan Ha Bay with a number of activities offered through the afternoon.
For your second day exploring the beauty of Lan Ha Bay, you’ll have the chance to discover one of the few remaining floating fishing villages and hike through the scenic Cat Ba National Park.
For your final day on board, take the chance to enjoy an early morning kayak or swim before Ylang makes her way back to the pier.
Ylang charts a course around the Lan Ha Bay on a unique three-day ‘Senses of Lan Ha’ cruise, setting off from Cat Hai island, around a 3 hour drive from Hanoi.
