There are 45 different rooms and suites available depending on your needs, all decorated with bold fabrics and polished concrete floors.

There are many cultural activities to get involved in here, from temple and market visits to jungle walks and rock climbing. After a long day exploring the region, return for a pampering at The Village Spa. This sanctuary helps to restore balance and harmony to your mind, body and soul through traditional Lanna rituals. Afterwards, head to Ruen Tamarind, the hotel's restaurant offering an assortment of mouthwatering local flavors and ingredients.


There are 45 rooms and suites at Tamarind Village, 42 rooms and 3 suites. All rooms feature modern, fully equipped bathrooms and all the modern-conveniences you'd expect.


Children of all ages are very welcome to come and stay at Tamarind Village but there are no specific facilities available for them.


Ruen Tamarind is the only restaurant at the hotel but serves a mix of both local Thai dishes and international cuisine. There is a large pool for guests' exclusive use as well as The Tamarind Spa where you can indulge with a number of treatments.


Within the hotel enjoy the pool and spa after exploring the city. The hotel has a number of activities available from temple visits to rock climbing and even rafting. Throughout the year you might encounter some lively festivals which take place in the city, most notably the beautiful candle floating festival Loy Kratong.

When to go

The best time to visit Chiang Mai is between October and April. The monsoon season traditionally begins in May and lasts through to October, with July to September usually being the time of heaviest rain. The hottest month is April, when temperatures can hit the 40s. The cooler months of November to January will be a good time to travel if you don't like the heat, with the average day temperature slightly below 30°C.
