Located on the banks of the Mae Ping River, the Anantara Chiang Mai takes a contemporary approach to design and is among the most elegant and stylish of hotels in Northern Thailand. The resort has a delightful riverside pool where you can enjoy some rest and relaxation time. This pool is only open to guests aged 12 or older. Children are very welcome at the Anantara Chiang Mai and the hotel can provide car seats for transfers, children's menus and DVDs and baby equipment such as cots, high chairs etc. Babysitting is also available.
The Anantara Chiang Mai's main restaurant is set in a split level colonial house and serves authentic fresh Thai and Asian cuisine. The Terrace Bar and Lobby Bar are also both great venues for drinks and snacks. They also have The Service 1921 Restaurant and Bar, inspired by the colonial house, built in 1915. Suite guests have access to the Club Lounge where breakfast, evening cocktails and canapés are served on a complimentary basis. The hotel has a beautiful riverside swimming pool, which is only open to guests aged 12 or over. For families with children under 12, there is a wonderful rooftop pool in the resort's Serviced Suites building over the road. There is also wonderful spa with a diverse range of healing traditions and a fitness club with a yoga and tai chi room.

Anantara Chiang Mai is on Charoenprathet Road,set on the banks of the Mae Ping River in the heart of Chiang Mai, North Thailand.
When to go
The best time to visit Chiang Mai is between October and April. The monsoon season traditionally begins in May and lasts through to October, with July to September usually being the time of heaviest rain. The hottest month is April, when temperatures can hit the 40s. The cooler months of November to January will be a good time to travel if you don't like the heat, with the average day temperature slightly below 30°C.
