Any time’s a good time to go to Singapore. Practically on the equator, Singapore is constantly warm (the temperature never drops below 20°C) and humid and gets fairly steady year-round rainfall. The wettest months are supposedly November to January, when it’s also a degree or two cooler, while the driest are supposedly May to July, but in reality there is little distinction between the seasons.

Created from two colonial bungalows on the island of Sentosa in Singapore, Capella is a wonderful hotel that fuses British heritage and modern design. Spread across 30 acres, the property feels completely unique and is ideal for both families and couples.
Capella offers something completely unique in Singapore; it sprawls across 30 acres of verdant gardens and grounds offering respite from the hum of Singapore's city centre. With bikes to borrow, this makes it a good option for families with active children as they are able to roam free! Within the gardens and grounds there are tennis courts, three swimming pools, a gym, library and adults only spa. The property is very much designed around relaxation and being close to a family friendly beach means it's a great option for children.
There are just 112 rooms in total so the hotel doesn't feel overly large when compared to some options in Singapore. Rooms are sleek, contemporary and well designed with wooden floors, white sheets and views out to either the gardens or the South China Sea. There are plenty of different options for couples, small families or larger groups travelling together with one, two and three-bed villas available.
There are several different dining options including Mediterranean food at The Knolls and modern Cantonese cuisine at Cassia. For a pre or post dinner tipple, head to Bob's Bar for drink in old world style.
Despite not having a kids club, Capella is wells suited to families wanting to stay in and around Singapore at the beginning or end of a trip.
Capella has just 112 rooms, suites, villas and manors. The Premier Garden and Premier Sea View are designed for couples, with no room for extra beds of cots. The Sentosa Suites offer a bit more room and can take a cot and extra bed for an additional charge. We suggest the Constellation Room for honeymooners, as it enjoys a private Jacuzzi overlooking the South China Sea.
There's no kids club but babysitting is available for an additional charge. There are lots of activities including nature trails, bicycle hire and snorkelling. There are also several pools and two or three bedroom villas for families wanting to spread out. Some of the rooms take extra beds and cots; ask one of our specialists for more information.
Nestled within the grounds at Capella you will find a swimming pool, tennis courts, several restaurants and a spa.

This is definitely one of the coolest hotels I have visited. On the fun and young island of Sentosa, just a short hop from the city centre, Capella is unbelievably tranquil. An oasis of calm in the rainforest, it sits on 30 acres of land with two beautiful swimming pools, plus a lap pool, stunning spa, relaxed al fresco Bobs Bar, the beautiful breakfast area from where you can enjoy the morning sun and the old library for high tea. The impressive main building was built in the 1880s and was home to the British forces during World War II, hoping to defend Singapore from invasion by Japan, as this hotel occupies the southerly most point of the country. This old building works beautifully with the modern architecture of the new build.
