The Grand Hyatt is very much the new place to stay in Kuala Lumpur. The rooms start on higher floors so they all have wonderful views from their floor to ceiling windows. Rooms are also the largest in the city and they really do feel quite spacious with lots of natural light and modern amenities. Deluxe rooms are particularly appealing as they are corner rooms and dual views which really paint Kuala Lumpur at its best. Even if you don't stay here, you should dine at Thirty8, a restaurant on the 38th floor with 360 degrees views of the city and a variety of cuisine to choose from their open-air kitchens so you can see the chefs create their masterpieces.

The Grand Hyatt is located right in the center of the City, with stunning views across the city and of the Twin Towers. The hotel is only in its third year, making it very luxurious and immaculate in every way. It has a rather corporate feel to it, with a very grand entrance hall and the first 24 floors are offices. This does allow for better views from some of the restaurants and rooms as these are all on the higher levels. The suites and bedrooms are beautifully designed; the bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms are very light with stunning marble floors.

Experiences

  • Batu Caves & Royal Selangor Pewter Tour

This half day tour will take you to the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, where you will visit Malaysia's most prestigious pewter factory as well as the Batu Caves; one of the country's most iconic and holy sites.

  • Forgotten Trails of Kuala Lumpur City

Kuala Lumpur is often regarded as very much a contemporary city, with modern streets and towering skyscrapers. This tour aims to go behind the scenes, and explore more of the local life within Malaysia's capital.

  • Kampung Tour - Kuala Lumpur

Head out of Kuala Lumpur to gain an insight into Malaysia's rural life. Spend the afternoon visiting a local village before taking a boat trip into a mangrove forest, where there are often thousands of fireflies lighting up the trees on the riverbank.

  • Petaling Street Heritage Food Walk

Spend a few hours enjoying the sites, smells and flavors of Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown area. This is a fun but fairly gentle introduction into Asian streetfood. You will also have the opportunity to visit nearby temples.
