Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – dry (between May to September) and wet (between October to April) – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. In most parts of Indonesia, the wet season falls between October and April and the dry season between May and September. December and January see Bali at its most humid and rain tends to come in sudden tropical downpours, but it can also rain for more prolonged periods.

Villa Lulito is a stunning private property in the heart of stylish Seminyak, Bali. With four large ensuite bedrooms, a fabulous swimming pool and a dedicated team of staff to prepare meals and housekeep, this is a wonderful choice for families.
This elegant colonial villa is located just moments away from the buzzing Petitenget Beach in Seminyak, as well as plenty of boutique shops, quirky cafes and fine restaurants.
The villa was designed by an Australian interior designer who has paid tribute to Ralph Lauren's polished Caribbean style. This is noticeable as soon as you walk in through the majestic custom-made Aegean blue doorway. The villa has been very tastefully designed with beautifully hand-rendered walls, soft-cushioned rattan chairs, white shutters and exposed timber beam ceilings.
Villa Lulito is a superb option for families or large groups of friends. There are four generous bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, one of which is a delightful kids room with four bunks, as well as plenty of living space. There is a fully equipped kitchen pavilion, an alfresco dining area, and a lovely garden pavilion with daybeds. The swimming pool lies in the centre of the property and is absolutely stunning. The villa can also be made child friendly with fencing around the swimming pool and at the top of staircases, ensuring younger guests' safety.
The villa is fully staffed with a villa manager who is there to assist guests during your stay, a butler who will take care of daily housekeeping and domestic duties, dedicated security staff working 24 hours a day; and a private chef. The chef is trained in both Western and Asian cuisines, and will handle all of the market shopping and preparation of in-villa dining. The chef is also very well known for his excellent barbecues. You can either order from the villa menu or request a specific meal plan. The staff will arrange everything and buy all the groceries and beverages, for which guests are charged a small fee.
During your stay at Villa Lulito, your villa manager can provide lots of terrific ideas and suggestions for exciting and interesting activities for your stay, and can make tour and restaurant bookings on your behalf. The two-storey pavilion houses four ensuite bedrooms, each of which have air-conditioning and fans. Two of the bedrooms are at pool level and two are on the floor above, accessed from a long, white, covered balcony. The bedrooms are filled with lovely rattan trunks, lush potted palms and white plantation shutters, making for a very serene and relaxing environment.
The upper-floor master suite is furnished with a luxurious, netted four-poster king-size bed, and a freestanding bathtub in the adjoining bathroom that’s also fitted with a separate shower. This room easily converts to a family suite by sliding open the double doors in the dressing area to connect with the adjacent children’s room.
The children's room is absolutely delightful and features four netted, custom-made bunk beds against an entire wall. If extra beds are required, an additional queen-size bed or twin beds can be requested at an extra charge. The room also features plenty of space for the children to play in, as well as a nicely filled bookshelf, bright cushions and an adjacent bathroom with a kids' step for the sink and vanity mirror.
The two guest bedrooms are located on the ground floor, on the same level as the pool, and are designed with large rattan and leather travel trunks, a gorgeous bamboo four-poster king-size bed, and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower. The moment I stepped through the majestic Aegean blue doorway, I fell in love with Villa Lulito. It's a completely unique property from other villas and hotels in Bali and works extremely well for families or large groups of friends looking for privacy away from Seminyak's hustle and bustle.
The design and style of the villa definitely shows influence from Australia and the Caribbean with its white shutters, exposed timber beams and cushioned rattan chairs. It's a real haven of peace and tranquillity. But equally, a great place for families where parents needn't worry about the children disturbing other guests. With your own team of staff, you really have nothing to worry about during your stay here. Spa treatments can be enjoyed onsite, day trips to Ubud can be arranged through the villa manager, and specially designed meals can be prepared by your trained private chef.
