With its understated residential calmness, The Upper House is an oasis of tranquillity amidst the quickened pace of Hong Kong. Natural materials, distinctive sculptures and original artwork all contribute to the intimate, inviting atmosphere, while contemporary design and lavish amenities assure an unmatched level of comfort.

Renowned architect Andre Fu, has created rooms to convey calm and comfort. Starting at 730 sq. ft., the 117 rooms - including 21 suites and two penthouses - are some of the most spacious in Hong Kong and many boast panoramic views of the Victoria Harbour.

Dining is a highlight at the Upper House, starting with Café Gray Deluxe, a 21st-century grand café located on the 49th floor with views of the Harbour. Head chef Gray Kunz creates delicious, showcasing his unique twist on European classics and signature dishes from a lifetime leading the very finest kitchens in Europe, Asia, and America. A seductive city bar and lounge offers uniquely blended cocktails, an extensive wine list, and a wonderful view.

For an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, retreat to the Lawn, a secret and secluded garden boasting (as the name suggests) a lush green lawn, which provides a stark contrast with the surrounding cityscape. Sink into a beanbag with a cocktail in hand and enjoy this hidden haven in the heart of Hong Kong.

Experience a quieter, more personal side of urban travel and indulge in the soothing pleasures of this Hong Kong Island hotel.

The Upper House has 117 Rooms, including 21 Suites and two Penthouses. The rooms start from level 38 giving them either harbor or Island views. The décor is very calming with wood panelling and beige and earth tones. Bathrooms are spacious with tubs, rains showers, a TV and city views. All rooms have walk-in wardrobes, Wi-Fi, an iPod Touch, dual temperature wine fridge, free maxibar snacks, soft drinks and beer, espresso machine, yoga mat and Ren toiletries.

Children are welcome to stay at the Upper House, and cots and extra beds are available free of charge. Babysitting can be arranged but note that there is no swimming pool.

Every Saturday and Sunday, enjoy an al fresco Yoga session with Wayne Yeh, the hotel's expert master, in the secluded tranquillity of The Lawn. For fitness fanatics, there is a gym fully equipped with Precor and Keiser machines and equipment.

Café Gray Deluxe is the hotel's restaurant. A modern venue offering wonderful views of Victoria Harbour and a menu of tempting European cuisine.
