Sumaq Machu Picchu is situated on the edge of the the town of Aguas Caliente and a 3.5-hour train journey from Cuzco.
When to go
April to November is the best time to visit Machu Picchu. The rainy season is typically from December to March, with the heaviest rains arriving in January and February.
