Tuck into a delcioius dinner accompanied by a bottle of wine with the most spectacular views
Keep your eyes peeled for condors which soar above the valley
April to November is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. The rainy season is typically from December to March, with the heaviest rains arriving in January and February.
Suspended 400m above the Sacred Valley, Skylodge Adventure Suites offers one of the most adventurous sleeping abodes in Peru. Enjoy breathtaking views, watch condors swoop by and get your adrenaline pumping as you climb to your hanging capsule to sleep.
Not for the faint hearted, the glass pods of the Skylodge Adventure Suites sit 400m above the floor in Peru's Sacred Valley, perched on the cliffside. To reach the capsules, guests must embark on an intrepid climb up 400m of Via Ferrata and to get down enjoy either a series of zip-line trails down the mountain or rappelling. A stay here is definitely for the adventurous but very rewarding for anyone that needs a quick adrenaline hit!
Hanging from the mountain, each of the three suites is a transparent capsule, offering spectacular 300-degree views of the surrounding valley. They have been exceptionally designed to offer guests a comfortable night's rest. Electricity is powered by solar energy and each suite comes with a private bathroom, bed and dining space. Each pod is built to withstand the weather conditions and to adhere to international safety standards.
For all activities included in your stay, a full safety briefing will be carried out to ensure the best possible experience and on arrival you will be shown how to use the lodge and its facilities. Your stay includes fully guided activities to and from the lodge, all equipment, snacks, purified water, dinner, a bottle of wine and breakfast. Highly recommended for a fun alternative stay in the Sacred Valley.
Each of the three suites is crafted from aerospace aluminium and weather resistant polycarbonate, providing spectacular views to the valley from its location perched 400m up on the side of the mountain. All have four beds, a dining area and a private bathroom with dry ecological toilet and a sink. There are no shower facilities at the lodge. The capsules measure 24ft/7.3m in length and 8ft/2.4m in height. Comfortable bedding is provided.
Not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
The Skylodge Adventure Suites are located in Peru's Sacred Valley, within easy reach of Cuzco and Machu Picchu.
The start of the Via Ferrata route is approximately a 1-hour 30-minute drive from Cuzco.
