This national monument was once home to the founder of the Inca civilization, and eventually taken over by the first Spanish Conquistadores, Francisco Pizarro and Diego de Almagro. Get to know the famous city from the moment you step out of the hotel, visiting archaeological sites, colonial churches and living cultures within Cusco or the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The present-day accommodations are evocative of the area’s colonial past, from the rustically lavish rooms adorned with colonial-inspired furniture to bathrooms with antique free-standing tubs. Large sitting rooms with fireplaces complement the rich color palette of browns and reds off-set by cream walls. Furnished with antiques, and decorated with original architectural detail, each suite features a private sitting and dining area with open fireplace, LCD flat screen TV’s, minibar, under floor heating, safe and 24 hour butler service.
Be sure to ask one of Inkaterra's experiences concierge who will be happy to help create your own personal Cusco experience: creative crafts, colonial churches, traverse temples or pueblo picnics.
La Casona offers 9 gorgeous Patio suites and 2 Plaza suites, featuring either king size beds or twins and marble bathrooms with all the modern amenities one would expect from a luxurious boutique hotel, all with fabulous views of the plaza or the internal courtyard.

When to go
Cuzco’s location and altitude result in only two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season typically lasts from November to March, with the heaviest rains arriving in January and February. The best time to visit Cuzco and the surrounding area is during April-October. Though daytime temperatures rest in the mid-to upper 60s throughout the year, the city sees fewer rain showers during its winter months. Bring warm clothing as night-time temperatures dip into the low 30s and 40s due to the altitude.
