At Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado the rooms cascade down the hill in terraces and each has a terrace to relax and take in the wonderful views and sounds of the river running at the end of the property. Inside you find simple decor, polished wooden floors and white walls punctuated with bright Peruvian textiles and floor to ceiling windows even in the bathroom (your dignity in the shower is protected by a hedge). The Junior suites are larger and for families the two three-bedroom villas are ideal plus kids of any age will love feeding the baby alpaca at breakfast. Birdsong and wafts of fragrant plants are omnipresent and with the heated outdoor pool and Mayu Wilka spa with its indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis the Belmond Rio Sagrado is a great place to unwind during your time exploring the Sacred Valley. Another bonus for guests is that the Vistadome service stops right at the hotels own station making your journey to Machu Picchu as easy as pie. Make sure you find time to relax in the heated swimming pool.
