Description

Live in colonial splendour in a 16th century mansion in the heart of the Inca city of Cusco, with a stay at Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel, offering elegant and luxurious accommodation full of original artwork and antiques.

Built in the 16th century, the Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel reflects the old-world grace and splendour of the colonial era. The historic architecture and romantic courtyard are adorned with priceless works of art and antiques, while frescoes, gilded mirrors, sculptures, period furniture, crystal chandeliers and fresh flowers add to the atmosphere. The staff are warm and welcoming and the hotel is ideally located just two blocks from Cusco’s main square, Plaza de Armas.

There are just 43 rooms and suites all individually-furnished with original artwork and antiques. Standard rooms include an intelligent oxygen system to combat any altitude sickness, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, LCD TV, iPod dock, DVD player, safe, minibar, robes and slippers. While the rooms reflect classic colonial style, the en-suite bathrooms are full of contemporary spa-inspired luxury with underfloor heating, bathtubs and showers. Deluxe rooms also include a Jacuzzi bath, while suites offer gracious living areas and the option of a balcony. Guests can enjoy a lavish breakfast buffet and modern Peruvian cuisine at Mishi Mestizo Restaurant in a picturesque courtyard setting or enjoy a drink at the intimate Khasikay Bar.

The hotel has lots of information about the artworks and antiques on display and are happy to share this with guests. There is even an audio tour that can be taken around the hotel’s major artworks. There is also a relaxing library, providing a lovely venue to plan your sightseeing adventures in the city. A wonderful historic base for enjoying the attractions of Cusco, Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel is highly recommended.
