Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Santiago is a year-round destination but the most pleasant months to visit are October to April. Although summer (November to April) is hot, breezes disperse the smog that shrouds the city for most of the year and there is lots of sunshine. Over winter (June to September) you’ll see the Andes wreathed in snow and can ski nearby, but the weather is chilly and rain can be an issue. Spring-like September is Chile's national independence month, and is full of activity.

Insider's View

The Singular's rooftop terrace and bar will be one of Santiago's most sought after locations on balmy summer evenings.

A visit to the rooftop bar to see the amazing view and enjoy a cocktail is a must.

Head up to the fashionable rooftop bar and enjoy a Pisco Sour with some olives and nuts, make sure to arrive in time to watch the sun set as they are beautiful in Santiago, giving the city a warm orange hue as the sun disappears behind the foothills of the Andes.

Have a dip at the end of a long day in their rooftop pool or on their terrace overlooking Santiago with a glass of Chilean Carmenere, one of their award winning red wine

The Singular Santiago is located in the charming area of Lastarria one of Santiago's most characterful neighbourhoods with its galleries, street cafes and park. The Singular offers style in abundance, spacious guest rooms and a prime location.

The Singular Santiago is the stylish sister hotel to the unique Singular Patagonia Hotel. Sharing the same ethos of individual style, top service and excellent food as the original, the Singular Santiago also comes with a prime urban location in the heart of Lastarria, Santiago's historic and now most trendy neighbourhood.

Enrique Concha, one of Chile's top interior designers, has created interiors which feel timeless and elegant, mixing limited edition prints, hand-crafted furniture and polished parquet floors.

The Singular Santiago consists of 62 stylish rooms over 9 floors including the 40 larger than average Singular rooms, most of which have a small balcony and integrated sitting area. The suite comes with the attraction of its own separate living room area. There are connecting Classic rooms which are ideal for families.

The award-winning French chef, Laurent Pasqualetto, who has created a real buzz at the Singular Patagonia restaurant with his innovative locally sourced menu,  brings the same flair to the kitchen in Santiago. Highlights include the Guanaco tartare prepared table side and a selection of local cheeses.

The sultry lobby bar and library has the feel of a private members club with its brass angle-poise lamps, studded leather armchairs and marble bar, the perfect place to sample cocktails showcasing Chile's finest Piscos.

During the warm summer months, the Singular's rooftop bar and terrace, which has one section reserved for hotel guests only and a small plunge pool is a major draw and offers stunning vistas over the city skyline and mountainous Andes backdrop.

Singular Santiago also boasts an indulgent subterranean Spa with four treatment rooms, Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms, ideal for getting you ready for a night out at one of the city's finest restaurants or easing you into the next leg of your journey.

Why not climb Cerro San Cristobal for a stunning view of the city or head to the capital's historic centre to visit the many museums and fabulous colonial buildings.

A colonial style hotel set in the Lastarria district amongst the bustling bars and restaurants of this part of Santiago. There is an atmospheric bar and reception area on the ground floor decked in hundreds of pictures and photographs of times gone by. Their restaurant and small outside terrace here serve more fine dining options, or should you wish to enjoy Santiago in the evening go up to their roof terrace and tapas restaurant and savour a pisco sour watching the sun go down.  There is a small pool to relax by on hot days and the rooms are spacious and comfortable and remarkably quiet considering you are in the heart of Santiago.  There is a Spa in the basement with treatment rooms and an excellent gym. A great hotel to stay a night or two between exploring the diverse regions of Chile. Top tip.  If you are on the early flight in from London and really want to go straight to your room, worth paying for an extra night as this is a very busy hotel and early check-ins are often not that easy to come by.

I visited the Singular on the first day that it opened and there was a real buzz about the hotel. It's location is ideal for soaking up the atmosphere in trendy Lastarria where there is a choice of good restaurants and it's opposite on of the best ice-cream shops in Santiago. The decor is timeless and classic with a nod to an elegant Gentleman's club. The pool deck with its incredible view over the park and Andes is a great bonus for guests who want to take a dip to cool off in the Santiago summer and guest rooms were spacious and elegant and would suit both couples and families alike.
