Hotel Vira Vira offers guests the chance to discover the unique beauty of the Pucón Valley in superior comfort and style. The hotel is perfectly located close to a beautiful national park with natural lagoons, wild creeks and stunning views of the Villarrica Volcano.
Created as a traditional hacienda, the rooms and suites are traditionally decorated with Chilean rugs and furnishings creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Wood-clad rooms and suites create the perfect accompaniment to the stunning natural surroundings on the banks of the Liucura River. We recommend the senior suites which have outside Jacuzzis, perfect for relaxing in with a glass of locally-produced wine after a day of discovery and adventure.
Activities at Vira Vira are endless in either summer or winter; adventurers will relish the white water rafting and kayaking down the rapids, while the more laid back can enjoy peaceful fly fishing or drifting gently down the river in a little boat. In the winter months the area boasts skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and winter horse riding among its activities, all set out in front of a backdrop of Chile's snow-capped volcanoes for an utterly magical scene.
The hotel is made up of 20 rooms and suites which are traditionally decorated with Chilean rugs and whimsical local furnishings to create a cool and comforting bohemian vibe. The wood cladded rooms reflect the natural surroundings on the banks of the Liucura River to lend a true sense of belonging to the region. The Villa suites are a highlight, each complete with a terrace for unparalleled views of the Villarrica Volcano, ideal for unwinding with a glass of locally produced wine after a day of exploration.
The restaurant serves guest the freshest dishes, with produce coming directly from the hotel's farm. The chef creates a daily menu for guests including a vegetarian option, and if there is something in particular you would like, the chef is happy to prepare it for you! There is a large selection of Chilean wines on offer, and the bartender will mix your favorite drink the way you like it.
As a year round destination, there is always plenty to do in Pucón, from Riding, hiking and cycling, to white water rafting, kayaking, Sailing and fishing. During the winter you can do ski tours on the volcano, snowshoeing and winter horseback riding. It is the perfect place for adventure lovers. There's also a labyrinth of caves in the volcano to explore, and of course not forgetting the many thermal springs. For those with an interest in the local indigenous culture, there are markets selling Mapuche arts and crafts, textiles in particular. During the summer months you can attend a traditional Chilean Rodeo, where you can experience the great craftsmanship of the Chilean Huaso.

When to go
Pucón has a climate similar to the Mediterranean, with warm short summers, and colder humid winters. Summer (October to March) see's plenty of sunshine and moderate rainfall, and its the best time to travel for hiking and riding and water activities. Winter can get very cold but offers unusual activities such as snowshoeing and relaxation in the hot springs.
