Hosteria Alta Vista has 7 comfortable guest rooms and suites, which have been decorated in a tasteful Provencale style, a cosy lounge area and lovely historical gardens. The 1930's farmhouse has held onto its history and is the largest sheep farm in the area.
The estancia offers a truly authentic taste of Patagonian life, and what it is to live like a traditional gaucho. There is a welcoming, cosy ambience which creates a delightful 'home from home' sense for all it's guests. The rooms are unnumbered, making you feel truly welcomed, and the service is very hands on and friendly. If you fancy getting your hands dirty, guests are invited to help out with the daily ranch work including sheep shearing.
You can opt to relax, or to explore your more adventurous side during your stay. With the large range of activities on offer there are options to cater for both! Horse rides are the obvious choice, with such a fantastic range of treks; going from 2hr ones to full day 10hr treks taking you up to the glacier and border with Chile. The trails which will be followed can also be walked, or you can even organize a four wheel drive all of which will treat you to some incredible panoramic views of the Andes.
6 double rooms and 1 suite all with ensuite facilities.
Children are welcome at the hotel, and babysitting can be arranged upon request, but there are no specific facilities or interconnecting rooms.

When to go
November to April brings the best weather, downpours are rare, and there’s usually enough sun to get fabulous photographs of the ice, with bright sunshine most days. In March and April, Fall colors are spectacular, as the lenga on upper slopes of the mountains turns scarlet. The majority of the region is closed for winter June to August, when weather makes the area very inhospitable. December and January are high season and the glacier trips are at their busiest. September, October and March is a great time to visit, when there are fewer crowds, and the weather can still be beautifully mild. Bear in mind, though, that weather in Southern Patagonia is unpredictable.
