Entre Cielos Hotel and Spa lies in the beautiful Mendoza region of Argentina in the foothills of the Andes. Surrounded by 3.2 hectares of Malbec wine vines, it offers the perfect opportunity to taste locally produced wines and to unwind in the Hammam Spa.
Located in Lujan de Cuyo, the architecturally stunning Entre Cielos is situated in 3.2 hectares of growing vines, whose grape produces the famous Malbec wine of the region. This minimalist hotel was designed from scratch as a modern retreat for the senses combining luxurious accommodation, excellent cuisine and wine, an enormous spa and gorgeous panoramic views.
Entre Cielos has 16 individually designed rooms and suites, each incredibly private and well appointed. All rooms offer individual climate controls, complimentary WiFi, a flat screen TV and sound system, complimentary mini-bar, private terrace and complimentary wine on arrival. Some even have a telescope allowing you to explore the destination that little bit further and do some fabulous star gazing by night. For a truly once in a lifetime experience, stay in the exclusive wine loft which is built on stilts above the vineyard, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the lush green vines.
The hotel also boasts an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a rotating collection of colorful contemporary art, and it’s well known Hammam and Spa offering a collection of beauty and well-being treatments. The large variety on offer includes some wine treatments which make use of the vineyards very own grapes, a truly indulgent experience. The Katharina restaurant and wine bar, which serves only local and hand-selected ingredients, is a treat for all the senses, with views across the landscape and a beautiful selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes on offer.
There are 16 rooms and suites (4 Classic Rooms, 6 Superior Rooms, 6 Duplex Suites, 1 Luxury Suite and 1 Wine Loft), all individually designed and all hosting their own charm. Rooms either face the gardens, which are ideal for guests looking for more privacy or pool side. They are all equipped with modern amenities such as wifi, Tv, air conditioning, hair dryer and telephone. The bathrooms are all well equipped and stylishly designed.
Children 12 years and over are very welcome at Entre Cielos. Classic Rooms can interconnect or additional beds can be placed in Duplex Suites.
There are various excursions and activities which can be arranged from the hotel, including tours of the vineyards, bicycle trails, outdoor pool, yoga fitness, bird watching, climbing, horseback ride, kayaking, rafting and snow-shoeing.

Closer to the town of Mendoza, this hotel has just been awarded #1 landscape hotels in South America. Each room has a different theme to it that is wine related and they are decorated slightly differently. The menu at Entre Cielos is however quite expensive compared to other properties in the region, which detracted a little from my stay. A real plus point for me was the Hamaam that can be included in your stay. You can do the hamaam circuit in about an hour and it has eight stations including a pool and a variety of saunas.

Entre Cielos is a wonderful place to relax in comfort, enjoy the amazing spa and haman and indulge yourself in the delicious food and wine on offer. I stayed here in May, out of the high season, and I was struck by the brilliant reds and oranges of the changing vines, set against the backdrop of the snow capped Andes. The views were simply stunning. I'd highly recommend taking a bike or horse riding tour to visit some of the vineyards in the surrounding area and if you're feeling really active (and don't mind the long drive to get there!) you can venture further afield and climb Argentina's famous peak of Aconcagua.

Your first impression as you arrive on the very outskirts of Mendoza is an oasis of vines, beautiful trees and a magnificent view stretching over their vineyard to the Andes mountains in the distance. A small luxury boutique hotel which is family run with a wonderful Hamam and Spa, is a perfect base for exploring the wine lands and town of Mendoza. Whether dining in their excellent restaurant or on their terrace overlooking the beautiful pool and mountains, or joining into their Asados (Argentinian Bar B Q) evening, exploring the neighboring vineyards for wine tastings and beautiful tasting menus, bicycling around the local village or touring the distant Uco Valley vineyards, there is something for everyone at this unique hotel. Cecile and her team will suggest activities, excursions and recommend local restaurants including some wacky inventions like touring the vineyards in an authentic 2CV. A wonderful romantic spot to unwind, relax in their eclectic and extremely comfortable rooms and suites, enjoy sipping their wine on your terrace overlooking the gardens and pool and as they say, Viviendo La Vida. Live life.
