Club Tapiz is located in the Fincas Patagónicas wine estate, built in 1890 and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards in the province of Mendoza. The seven bedroom lodge, with nearby four-bedroom private villa, is set in 150 acres of Malbec and Pinot vineyards with the snow-capped Andes as a spectacular backdrop.

The cosy guest rooms are built around a garden with fantastic views of the vineyards, and there is a swimming pool, gym and spa within the grounds. The Terruno restaurant serves the finest local cuisine and the best wines of the region. The wine list includes wine from thirty of the best bodegas in the province and there is also a private cellar. Other activities include bike rides to explore the local bodegas of Maipu and Lujan de Cuyo, cooking classes and olive oil tasting.

Mendoza isn't just about wine and a trip to the mountains is a must; from late June to September one can go skiing in the resort of Las Leñas or the more family orientated Los Penitentes. The stunning landscape in and around Mendoza also provides some fantastic fishing, trekking, white water rafting (September through to May) and horse riding.

Club Tapiz has seven guest rooms in the main house and four further guest rooms in the Casa Zolo. Rooms are spacious with high ceilings and feature king size or twin beds, cable TV, air-conditioning/heating, WiFi and beautiful bathrooms.

Children are welcomed at Club Tapiz. Cots, extra beds and babysitting are all available on request, while activities such as horse riding, cycle hire and zip wiring can easily be arranged by the property.

Club Tapiz features an award wining restaurant, an extensive wine cellar, bar, lounge room, outdoor swimming pool, small spa, reading room, library and bicycles for guest use.

Guests at Club Tapiz are offered winery tours to neighboring vineyards. Included in all stays is a visit to Bodega Tapiz, 15km away, where you'll be shown the vineyards and the planting, pruning and harvesting techniques and will have the chance to taste the wine at every stage of the process, from grapes to bottle. Cycling, fishing, golf, hiking, horse riding, white water rafting (in season September through May) and cooking lessons can also be arranged.
