To start planning your vacation to Estancia Dos Lunas
Set high in the Sierras Chicas north of Cordoba, the Estancia Dos Lunas was once a working cattle ranch and is now a luxury retreat, featuring stunning countryside and excellent service in which to experience the pioneer lifestyle. Your hosts at Estancia Dos Lunas, Juan and Teresa Fernandez Ocampo, will make you feel completely at home, with all the pampering of a small hotel and exceptional home-cooked food.
The main house is beautifully set in a valley beneath imposing red rock bluffs, and is a century old, evoking a nostalgia for frontier times. There are just five rooms that have been simply and tastefully decorated in a traditional Argentine estancia style. A comfortable lounge area provides an array of interesting books and games to play when the weather turns cold, while next door to this is the elegantly furnished dining room.
It's a great place for both couples and families, and there is so much to experience. Explore the surrounding hills, valleys and woods on foot or on horseback with expert guides, and if you are feeling adventurous, your ride can include a typical gaucho barbecue and a night sleeping under the stars. Other activities include fishing, golf, paragliding, bird watching, mountain biking, visits to the nearby Jesuit convent and rock climbing. If you tire of all the activities on offer, there is a lovely garden and swimming pool to while away your afternoon siesta time.
There are 3 two-bedroom apartments with private bath: Alazan (double) and Bayo (triple twin),
Zaino and Moro (double twins) and Pangare (double) and Tordillo (double or double twin), as well as
2 Suites with private bath - Tobiano (double twin plus extra sofabed) and Pampa (double twin plus extra sofabed)
Families and children over 10 years old are warmly welcomed at the estancia, and children will love the riding, wildlife and the barbecue lunches. There is a playroom at the estancia.
