I was very excited about staying at the brand new Four Seasons in Downtown New York, and it did not disappoint! From the moment you walk into the amazing lobby with incredibly high ceilings the staff are on hand to help. All staff act as concierge, so definitely worth asking them for any recommendations and to point you in the right direction of any new restaurant openings, pop ups, or whatever might be of interest.
Rooms are brand new, clean-lined and spacious with lots of wardrobe space, modern bathrooms (complete with in-mirror TVs!) with deep soaking tubs and separate showers and of course those infamous Four Seasons beds! How do they do it?!
Cut by Wolfgang Puck is located downstairs, just off the lobby, and is a very popular spot amongst guests and locals advance reservations very much recommended. Food is delicious, and presentation turns courses into works of art!
However, it is the stunning lap pool, with underwater music, which really makes this hotel stand out from the crowd Its indoors but the loungers and serene dcor make it a really relaxing place, perfect for early morning lengths or unwinding at the end of the day.
Strangely the area does feel slightly more financial / corporate even compared to where The Beekman is located just the other side of City Hall Park but, for those who are big fans of the Four Seasons brand and want to explore a new upcoming area of the city, this should be top of their list.
