Description

Perched high above the sapphire blue waters of Lake Tahoe with breathtaking views of the beautiful Carson Valley, the Ridge at Tahoe is an 11-acre resort with a great variety of flexible room options suitable for both couples and families looking to maximize their time on the slopes. The fact that the hotel has its very own Skier Express providing direct access to Heavenly's Stagecoach chairlift means that the transit time from your room to the slopes is quick and slick and is a far better and quieter option than heading back down the mountain to Heavenly village.

Accommodation is either in deluxe hotel rooms or one or two bedroom condos. These are by no means luxurious, but functional, good value and well equipped and ideal for families. However it's the extensive on-site facilities that are the draw here - a complimentary health club, indoor sports complex, indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis, that's before you've even got stuck into the regular activities and classes - from skin care classes to wine tasting. And of course there's the skiing. Heavenly offers skiing for suitable for all levels - lovely groomed beginner slopes and gentle cruisers to some steeper chutes and bowls.

The Ridge at Tahoe is the place to go if you're looking for an all round active vacation on the slopes.

Accommodation

The Ridge at Tahoe has a great range of flexible accommodation options with 302 units on site. Couples are best suited to either the deluxe hotel rooms or a one bedroom condominium, whilst families will enjoy the spacious one or two bedroom condominiums which can sleep up to six.

The deluxe hotel rooms have a small sitting area, microwave and mini-refrigerator, whilst the condominiums have fully equipped kitchens, spacious living rooms and a sofabed.

Childcare

The condominiums are ideal for families wishing to stay at this resort and the two bedroom condos particularly suit families of four to six, with their spacious living rooms and fully equipped kitchens.

There are some great organized activities that run during the ski season at The Ridge which both children and adults can join in to their hearts content. There really is something for everyone!

Facilities

Pretty much everything has been thought of and provided for when it comes to facilities at The Ridge at Tahoe. The wellness and sports facilities are incredible - indoor/outdoor swimming pools, jacuzzis, health club, full service spa and an indoor sports complex. You can dine at the on-site restaurant and deli or pick up your groceries at the market so self-catering in the condos could not be simpler.

And finally The Ridge Ski Shop will take care of all your ski and snowboarding needs.

Activities

With its incredible location perched high above the beautiful sapphire blue waters of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly is certainly up there with best when it comes to snowsports destinations. When it comes to skiing at Heavenly you are spoiled for choice with heaps of terrain variety, hidden glades and immaculate groomers - possibly more than any Lake Tahoe resort. The decision making is endless - do you ski California or Nevada? Do you want jaw-dropping views of sparkling Lake Tahoe, or the stark contrast of the high Nevada desert below? Will it be 34 miles of wide-open, groomed cruisers, 1,600-foot plunges in the double-black canyons or the most outrageous tree skiing in North America? Is it the 80-foot jumps in Highroller Terrain Park, or the natural pillow drops in Nevada Woods? How about 1,800 vertical feet of knee-pounding, Volkswagen-sized moguls on the world famous Gunbarrel? The choices are yours – and you’ll have a blast choosing.

Services

A complimentary shuttle service whisks guests five miles down to Lake Tahoe and the casino nightlife.
