The perfect choice for a more independent vacation, the villas at Cape Coral offer a home from home experience on the Gulf Coast of Florida, just 2 hours from Tampa or 3 hours from Orlando.
Cape Coral is a community of private houses set on pretty canals on the edge of the river that links Fort Myers to the stunning islands of Sanibel and Captiva. With their beautiful beaches, turquoise water and laid back feel, these islands are easily reachable with your private motorboat. Each villa has one and part of the appeal of a stay here is the opportunity to get out on the boat and explore the pretty waterways and beautiful beaches close by. Simply head off and drop anchor on the edge of a sandy shore. There are also restaurants on the islands and around the area which offer their own dock so guests can moor up and go for lunch.
All the homes and villas vary in their style and decoration as each is individually owned. They offer from 2 to 5 bedrooms and each also has its own private screened pool, ideal for those days when all you wish to do is sit and enjoy the peace and quiet in the sunshine.
Minimum stay in all homes and villas is 7 nights although there is no specific day of the week for arrival. Each can be pre-provisioned with food and drink to suit and additional cleaning can be arranged throughout the stay if required. Please ask for availability and we can recommended houses based on your requirements.
We offer a choice of 16 privately owned villas in the Cape Coral area ranging from low key 2-bedroom homes to lavish 5-bedroom villas. Each is individually decorated in its own style and locations can vary from right on the river through to further inland on the canals of Cape Coral.
All of the homes feature full kitchens, lounges and often separate dining areas and dens, 2 to 5 bedrooms and bathrooms as well as an outdoor screened and heated swimming pool. The lovely benefit of all the villas is that they each have a private motorboat for use throughout your stay. Full tuition is given for guests on how to use the boat. The villas offer all amenities from beach towels to fishing rods!
The accommodation is completely self catering, however, provisions can be placed in the villa prior to arrival and additional cleaning can be arranged during guests stay if required.
Families are most welcome at the villas, they lend themselves very well to family groups and some villas have more child orientated bedrooms. Cots and baby equipment can be provided on request.
Cape Coral has its own yacht club complete with tennis courts, man made beach, fishing pier, playground, community pool and restaurant. Further restaurants and shopping are available close by so a car is recommended for guests stay.
A stay at Cape Coral is all about the outdoor lifestyle. Taking to the water is all part of the adventure and guests are actively encouraged to make the most of their boat. The morning after arrival, a thorough boat lesson is given to each family. The motor boat is then there to enjoy. In most cases, depending on location, Pine Island, Sanibel and Captiva with their beautiful beaches are within a 40-minute boat ride of the villas. The crystal clear waters and white sands are a mere drop of the anchor away. Many restaurants also have their own docks so it is possible to cruise across for lunch as well. The boats are only to be used during daylight hours.
The waters around Cape Coral are abundant with sea life and dolphins are regularly spotted from the boats and occasionally, a manatee too. The islands around Cape Coral are beautiful, relaxed and well worth exploring at your leisure.

When to go
Florida is a year-round destination with balmy winters, but summers can be hot and humid. The best time to visit Florida is between March and May and in December when it is warm and sunny, before the weather begins to get too hot. Hurricanes and other less serious tropical storms can strike Florida any time in the summer up to the end of November, however the risk is greatest between August and October.
