Occupying an authentic pre-war Art Deco building and a prime spot on Miami Beach, the Metropolitan by COMO is one of Miami's best boutique hotels and offers its guests cool interiors in muted greys and mint, impeccable service and an unpretentious but lively atmosphere.

Despite being a boutique hotel, the Metropolitan by COMO has everything you could want from a hotel in Miami Beach - a good-sized pool with plenty of sun loungers and cabanas from which to discretely people watch, its own beach concession on a quiet part of Miami Beach, a roof-top hydrotherapy pool and gym, COMO Shambhala Terrace and Spa and the elegant Traymore Restaurant serving classic Floridian seafood.

The 74 guestrooms and suites at the Metropolitan by COMO Miami Beach are all about clean lines and simple elegance with an Art deco influence, from the flecked white marble floors, mint-colored walls, padded white leather bed-heads and white bathrooms. There are connecting rooms available for families.

The Metropolitan by COMO Miami Beach has 74 guest rooms and suites. All rooms are equipped with rainfall showers, a 42-inch flat-screen LCD TV, air-conditioning, WiFi and minibars. Suites come with a separate living room and soaking tubs. There are a number of connecting rooms and rooms with twin beds suitable for families.

Children are welcome to come and stay at Metropolitan by COMO Miami Beach and families can book connecting rooms, however there are no specific facilities available for them at the hotel.

When to go

Miami is a year-round destination but summers can be hot and humid and September and October have a slight risk of hurricanes. Ideal conditions exist between December and May, when temperatures average between 16°C and 30°C, and average rainfall is a mere 2.14in per month. Summer is very hot and humid, with thunderstorms rolling in at 3pm or 4pm. August is both the rainiest and hottest month – and there’s always the chance of hurricanes.
