The Cocke / Black family have run the ranch since the 1960's and have now opened their home up to guests to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and activities on offer for a completely different Florida stay.
With only seven beautiful en-suite bedrooms and a rustic 3-bedroom bunkhouse in the grounds, a stay at the ranch is a very personalized experience. Either take the ranch exclusively and be the only guests there or alternatively, just take one or two of the rooms and enjoy your stay with other like minded guests.
A stay at the ranch is fully inclusive of all meals and beverages. The ranch has its own private chef and so all dietary requirements can be taken into consideration. Guest can enjoy fine locally sourced food during their stay everything from breakfast to cocktails hour is freshly prepared by the chef.
Trail riding and riding lessons are included within the stay. Have a go at lassoing, learn how to saddle, all in the capable hands of the ranch's resident cowboy / horse trainer.
For those who don't wish to ride there is still plenty to enjoy and explore. Creek Ranch borders Lake Hatchineha, a 6665 acre lake perfect for canoeing and boating. Try your hand at fishing with superb bass fishing and watch for alligators and bird life along the way.
Take to the ranch's "swamp buggy" for an exciting view of the ranch. Head off in search of over 90 species of bird spread out over the 1400 acre nature preserve of the ranch. With nature preserves and state park's bordering ranch there is plenty of opportunity for guided hikes and visits and over 8 miles of riding trails.
When you've had enough of the outdoor excitement, head back to the bunkhouse (main house) for a little rest and relaxation. With a maximum of 16 guests ever at the property there will always be a quiet corner for you to retreat to. Enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the trademark "red rockers" rocking chairs, take a dip in the outdoor pool, pick oranges right off the trees in the gardens and take them back to be freshly squeezed or curl up with a good book from the living room shelf.
With all the fun of Disney and Orlando less than an hour away yet a world away, this is a perfect before or after theme park stay. In complete contrast yet just a short distance away

When to go
Florida is a year-round destination with balmy winters, but summers can be hot and humid. The best time to visit Florida is in March and April when it is warm and sunny, before the weather begins to get too hot. Hurricanes and other less serious tropical storms can strike Florida any time in the summer up to the end of November, however the risk is greatest between August and October.
