I really enjoyed the location of Nita Lake Lodge, although you are on the outskirts of the main village of Whistler you are only a few moments walk from the Creekside lift base which takes you straight up to the Whistler mountain ski area. It felt nice being slightly away from the main town and bustle of the village. Although it is worth bearing in mind most of the childrens lessons meet in Whistler rather than Creekside so definitely worth considering if you are traveling with children taking lessons.
The hotel is situated on the edge of Nita Lake and benefits from the most beautiful views, even in winter it feels so serene and relaxing. I was really surprised by how spacious the accommodations were and would definitely recommend a lake view suite which felt brighter and allows you to soak up those views! The hotel offer complimentary shuttle to the village which only takes about 5 minutes so going out for dinner in the evenings is made extremely easy. The hotel have a restaurant on site, Aura which is well known as great western restaurant with local fresh ingredients. There are also a few local restaurants in Creekside, Rim Rock and Red Door Bistro are both well known dining options just make sure you book these up in advance!

Nita Lake Lodge is a gem of a hotel with beautiful views over Nita Lake which it proudly boasts it shares with only five other properties. It is a charming hotel with a great lounge and bar area flanking the massive stone fireplace. Their less formal lounge and patio area called Cure is a perfect place for a casual meal or cocktails and then their signature restaurant Aura offer innovative dining in a fabulous setting where we sat overlooking the lake as the sun turned the water to gold. The outside dining area is really unique as the combination of the views and the stone and delicious food make for a great dining experience.
Their combination of one and two bedroom suites, studio suites and signature Nita Lake Suites are well thought out with spacious accommodation and wonderful huge slate bathrooms. Well stocked kitchenettes offer everything you need and all but 6 have balconies overlooking the lake or mountains. They really are lovely rooms and the kitchenette has complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and even a toaster although to forgo the fresh daily pastries of their Cafe and Deli Fix would be a shame. Complimentary mountain bikes, kayaks, an outdoor heated pool, the Spa with two hot tubs and great views over the mountains, complimentary shuttle into Whistler Village and to the ski slopes, Yoga and Fitness offering personal training all make this a perfect base just slightly out of the main village. A perfect Summer or Winter destination.

If you don't want to be in with the entire crowd because you like a little quiet, Nita Lake Lodge is your answer. It's location just outside of Whistler Village in Creekside is a welcome change and a great way to beat the crowds at the lift each morning.
Although I wasn't staying at the hotel I was lucky enough to have breakfast here at the Arua Restaurant, simply too many delicious breakfast choices on the menu I went with the easy option of Canadian Pancakes with local maple syrup. Quite possibly the best pancakes I ever enjoyed while in Canada, not to mention the best breakfast views with the lake literally a stones throw away.
The hotel itself is fairly modern with a rustic charm, the rooms are all a great size and each come with a fire place which is a welcome feature after a day on the slopes. All of the rooms have great views though I would recommend choosing the Lake View option as you really wouldn't get bored with the view!
